A huge thank you to our volunteers from Venerable! 🙌
This past week, our incredible volunteers showed up in a big way — packing donated clothing and tackling our spring clean-up with energy and heart.
Your time and effort mean the world to us and to everyone we serve. We couldn’t do it without you. 💙

141 years ago, Laura Wood Stewart (pictured) declared, “New Clothes Equalize, Used Clothes Pauperize.” With seven friends, she founded what would become the National Giving Alliance.

Over the decades, NGA’s legacy has been championed by two First Ladies of the United States—and today, that mission continues.

The National Giving Alliance remains committed to providing brand-new clothing and essential items to children and youth experiencing homelessness and economic hardship, restoring dignity, confidence, and hope with every package delivered.

Our volunteers and board members had a wonderful time at the Beer Bash hosted by .fuge , Warminster, PA! was among two nonprofit honorees to receive a generous donation from The Fuge. The event brought local businesses and patrons together and gave NGA a platform to share the important work it does to address clothing insecurity for thousands of children in Bucks County, as well as through its national branch network.
NGA provides new, age-appropriate, and weather-appropriate clothing to children and youth, ensuring they have a full week’s worth of essential clothing to attend school.
As the Northeast has faced a harsh winter — coupled with the rollback of programs such as SNAP that help families with their grocery bills — demand for NGA’s Threads of Hope program has seen a rapid increase. NGA has been working closely with social workers, school representatives, and its branches to reduce the clothing burden on families in need.
It was a pleasure connecting with community members, including local educators whose dedication to their students makes NGA’s mission all the more meaningful.
