Ẹẹẹpa Oriṣa o! 🕊️Today is the Feast Day of Ọbatala in the Lukumi and Regla de Ocha lineages of Oriṣa practice where he has been syncretized with both Jesus of Nazareth and Our Lady of Mercy.

We honor our patron Oriṣa in all forms and in all places! We honor our ancestors who kept his worship alive through the Maafa and we who keep it alive now.

Ki Ọbatala ṣaanu gbogbo wa! May Ọbatala grant us all mercy!

We’ll discuss q***r identities, body shame, and healthy relationships with ourselves and spiritual community. There is a person, place, situation that we are meant to be releasing at this time and spirit asks us to be brave enough and have the faith that we will find something even better than what was left behind if we are courageous enough to venture into the unknown. Who or what are you leaving behind this week? What new thing do you hope to encounter on your journey of self-discovery?

Rhodonite, our crystal ally reminds us that while we might venture out alone, we won’t stay that way. New connections and allyships will form, but we have to make the space to receive them. A bit of healthy distance from familiar connections is called for this week.
