Congratulations to the more than 900 graduates celebrated during Winston-Salem State University's spring commencement, the university's largest graduating class in a decade.

As one of the nation's leading HBCUs, Winston-Salem State continues to shape generations of Black leaders, changemakers, and professionals whose impact extends far beyond the classroom. 🧡

The Winston-Salem Foundation staff recently attended ABFE's 2026 Harambee Annual Conference in San Francisco.

As the largest gathering of Black professionals in philanthropy, Harambee created space for connection, learning, and shared strategy. Over three days, we engaged with leaders from across the country working to advance equity and support Black communities.

Experiences like this continue to inform our work as we invest in and support Black communities across Forsyth County. 💪🏾🧡

BPI is updating our grant cycle.

Our Building an Inclusive Economy and Advancing Equity in Education grants will now be offered through one annual grant cycle instead of two. The application process remains the same.

Application opens March 30, apply by May 4.
