Here’s a look at what our students learn through our hands-on youth programs:

🌱 Seed to Harvest Education
Understanding germination, plant cycles, and how food grows.

Soil testing, experiments, data tracking, and real-world science skills.

Learning how fresh foods fuel our bodies and how to prepare simple, healthy recipes.

Thinking about starting a garden next season? Start with seeds! 🌱

Here’s How to Start Seeds Indoors:

1️⃣ Gather your supplies:
Seed-starting mix, small pots or trays, seeds, spray bottle, and labels.

2️⃣ Fill your containers:
Use a light, fluffy mix so roots can breathe and grow.

3️⃣ Plant your seeds:
Follow the packet’s depth guide—tiny seeds stay near the surface, larger seeds go deeper.

4️⃣ Water gently:
Use a spray bottle or bottom-water the tray so you don’t disturb the seeds.

5️⃣ Give them light:
Place in a bright window or under grow lights for 12–14 hours a day.

6️⃣ Keep warm & moist:
Most seeds sprout best around 65–75°F.

7️⃣ Watch them grow:
Once they sprout, remove any humidity dome and keep the soil lightly moist.

This is one of our favorite hands-on lessons at UR Agri-Core! Simple, fun, and the start of something special. 🌿
