System Pressure Advisory ⚠️ Boil Water Notice

The water consumers of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities in Forsyth County are experiencing periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system due to a significant water main break. See the map in the image below, at the link in bio, or in comments for impacted areas. Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Therefore, when water service is restored, consumers are advised to boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

Water customers are strongly urged to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued. Advisory issued July 29, 2026.

An Internal disaster relief training exercise is scheduled for July 21–23 at Pinedale Christian Church on Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem. During the exercise, marked disaster relief vehicles and equipment will be visible at the church, which is located near the Walmart on Peters Creek.

Please be aware this is only a scheduled internal training exercise. There is no actual disaster, emergency incident or response activation associated with the exercise.
