Hunting season is almost here and I know a lot of hunters are looking for younger dogs but gosh, look at Ammo! This 5 yr old is trained to hunt. He can hold his own with any dog in the field. He’s awesome with kids, wants another dog around for company, is active, professionally obedience trained and just a great dog who lives to hunt! We would prefer underground wired containment for Ammo.

🐾 AirTag vs. GPS Collar: Know the difference BEFORE your dog goes missing!

An AirTag can help locate your dog, but it relies on Bluetooth and nearby compatible Apple devices to update its location. In the woods or quiet areas, updates may stop if no compatible device is nearby. The are not designed for animals, just items like keys, wallets etc.

📍 A GPS pet tracker is designed to track a moving dog. Depending on the model, it can record routes and activity and share location updates when cellular service is available. They can also track your dogs sleep and health.

Our cover boy Ammo is still looking for his forever home. He’s spending the afternoon watching Frozen with his foster family’s kids and neighbor’s children. We listed a lot of available dogs in the next posts. We’ve been asked a bunch of questions today so hopefully this will help.

1. We do require some sort of containment. Traditional fencing, underground wired fencing etc. are acceptable. Please, the discussion is closed on this one. Negative comments will be deleted.

2. We will consider a rent to own situation (foster to adopt) but you still must go through our application process if you haven’t already. Read the pinned post at the top of the page for info on that.

3. Our adoption fee is $600. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on preventatives. No, we do not adopt intact dogs. It is against the regs for a rescue to do that unless there are verifiable medical reasons to not neuter. All dogs are healthy at time of adoption.

And as always we always take donations to help offset costs. (I just threw that in as a reminder…no one asked.) 😁
