The Unquiet Professional

The Unquiet Professional Supporting our Nation's Gold Star Surviving Families and Veterans and their Families! The Unquiet Professional (TUP) was inspired by SSG Michael H.

Simpson who was a member of 1st Special Forces Group stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord. He started his military career in 2003, served in Iraq in 2007 and went on to be a Green Beret. Mike's teammate Sgt. 1st Class Gus Anderson remarked “I've never in my life known anyone who loved being a Green Beret more than Mike. Being a Green Beret was Mike’s calling. The first time Mike introduced himsel

f to me, he said, ‘I’m Staff Sgt. Simpson, Green Beret.’ Mike lived those words every day.”

Mike's wife, Krista and her friend Andrea Rinaldi founded TUP 30 May 2013 after laying Mike's remains to rest in Arlington National Cemetary. The organization was founded to give back to the military non profit community that supported the Simpson Family when Mike died. It has grown to support our Nation's Gold Star families. Krista looks for gaps in the Gold Star support community and tries to fill those. TUP's first project is the Gold Star Family Museum Support program. http://www.hocm.org/gold%20star/
The Hands on Children's Museum in Olympia, WA has started this program and it is has been adopted by 23 museums in the Pacific Northwest. Free memberships for Gold Star Families provides a happy, healthy learning environment for families of the Fallen to thrive. TUP has partnered with wear blue:run to remember to sponsor a portion of their Gold Star Race Program. This program provides Gold Star Family members a healthy opportunity to grieve the loss of their Fallen Hero. http://www.wearblueruntoremember.org/gold-star-race-program.html

We will continue to add programs as we find the gaps. We always welcome suggestions!! May God Bless you all and God Bless America!
