This handsome guy had his owner stumped. He appeared to be neutered but was spraying and acting like an intact male.
encouraged further evaluation, and the mystery was solved: he was a bilateral cryptorchid cat with both testicles retained internally.
Thanks to Dr. Vasquez he underwent successful bilateral cryptorchid surgery and is on his way to a happier, less hormonally driven future.
Sometimes the answer is hidden where you least expect it! 🐾

One of the cats in Catsnippers' care recently visited eye specialist Dr. Marchione at Ocuvet for a blocked tear duct.
We wanted to share our experience because specialty care can feel intimidating when a rescue animal needs it. The staff was kind, thorough, and took the time to answer our questions. The exam was comprehensive, the recommendations were practical, and thankfully no surgery was needed.
We're grateful to Dr. Marchione and the team for helping one of our Catsnippers cats and making the process much less stressful than we expected. 🐾💕

Kitten season is in full swing, and that means tiny bottle babies are arriving faster than ever. These fragile kittens need around-the-clock care, bottle feeding every few hours, warmth, medical support, and lots of love just to survive.
At Catsnippers, we're doing everything we can to help these little ones get the second chance they deserve. None of it would be possible without the incredible support of our community.
A special thank you to for their compassion, generosity, and the much-needed supplies that helps care for our most vulnerable kittens. Your support makes a real difference in saving lives.
Together, we're giving these bottle babies the opportunity to grow, thrive, and one day find loving homes. 🐾🍼💕

Some stories remind us exactly why we rescue.

This sweet senior husky was blind and living with a torn ACL. To be honest, we worried she might be overlooked. Senior dogs with medical challenges often wait the longest for a family to see beyond their limitations.

Then, during one of our public adoption events Ranch Foundation , a family walked in and instantly fell in love with her.

Today, they stopped by to say hello and brought her with them. Seeing her happy, safe, and so deeply loved was everything we could have hoped for. The bond between them was undeniable.

Moments like these make every challenge, every long day, and every heartbreak worth it. Rescue isn't just about saving lives—it's about finding the people who will cherish those lives.

This is what rescue is all about. ❤️

Huge thanks to North Figueroa Animal Hospital for helping Catsnippers Los Angeles treat a friendly community cat from a large warehouse colony who was suffering from severe scabies/sarcoptic mange.
Because of their care, this sweet boy is on the road to recovery. We are grateful for veterinary partners who help us give community cats the medical care they deserve.

Last week, our beloved Vet Dr.Joey Vasquez suffered a devastating blow. His veterinary facility, North Figueroa Animal Hospital was broken into and more than 30,000 dollars of technology and medication was stolen. The building also sustained terrible damage. He and his team have been an incredible force in the community, spaying and neutering thousands of animals per month for decades. Please support his gofundme page. If he has ever helped you with a sick animal, do not scroll by without giving thought to this wonderful man, and the level of care he has put out to nearly every community in Southern California. He has personally spayed/neutered and treated nearly 1000 pets for and we are so grateful for his care and attention. Please see the link below.

Grateful to and for bringing together 10 mayoral candidates to face the reality of LA's animal crisis--head on in a Town-hall filled with rescuers, volunteers, shelter advocates, and members of the community.
The questions weren't soft-and the answers mattered We asked:
• Will you fund and expand high-volume spay/neuter- especially mobile clinics in underserved areas:
‣ How will vou fix broken city contracting and actually support the rescues doing the work ?
‣ Will you commit to transparency and accountability within LA Animal Services?
‣ What will you do-specifically-in your first 90 days And how will you bring stonger consequences and rea charges to animal abusers?
There was real candor. And for once, real pressure This isn't theoretical. This is happening now-every day -in our shelters and on our streets
We'll be watching. And we expect action.
