Yellow Boat of Hope USA (501(c)(3) is the registered US Chapter of the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation Our Hope Paddlers are our true heroes.

In the Philippines, children face difficult challenges just to be able to go to school. Some children even have to swim to school with their school bags and uniforms getting wet in the process. And some of them don't even have the option to swim as they live on remote areas or far-flung islands with no nearby school, or they are forced to work to help their families survive. To make education more

accessible to children, we provide boats and build bridges so they can cross rivers. We build dormitories to give them safe shelters during school
days. And we build classrooms and entire schools to facilitate learning for more
children. To help parents and communities, we provide yellow boats that they can use for their
livelihood, and we conduct eco-tourism programs so they can generate income for the sustenance of their children’s education. The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation is responsive to the needs of the communities. A
program that works for one might not work on other communities. That is why we
progressively develop programs that are well-suited on every community that we want to help. If needed, we will develop a program specifically for a certain project. They are more than just volunteers. These are the people who put all the hard work, day and night, to make our projects successful. Because of Hope Paddlers continuously watching over the communities, the Yellow
Boat of Hope Foundation is very quick to act when needed. Somehow, we are just starting out. If we continue to help one another reach more
children and communities, we can leave a greater impact. Our yellow boats of hope will keep on sailing until no kid is left behind.

: The Yellow School of Hope: Starter Classroom at Bahayaw Mangyan Elementary School is now serving the students! 🏫✨

We are delighted to announce that the starter classroom at our newly adopted school in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro, is now open to students this school year. This milestone was made possible by Max's Restaurant North America's "Hope On the Menu" campaign, further supported by a generous gift from franchisee Sir Jeff Dennis.

This collaboration provides a safe and dignified learning environment where children can flourish and develop. It is one of seven classrooms we are building in partnership with Max’s Restaurant North America to deliver quality education to remote communities.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Max's Restaurant North America for directing proceeds from the impactful "Hope On the Menu" campaign to our work. Special thanks to Sir Jeff Dennis for your remarkable generosity. Your commitment to expanding educational access transforms everyday meals into beacons of hope and brighter futures.

We also offer heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the teachers, parents, and volunteers of Bahayaw Mangyan Elementary School for your inspiring bayanihan spirit that brought this project to fruition. We are pleased to announce that the 85 school kits donated by Trinley Edwards, a student from our long-standing partner Singapore School Manila, have been successfully distributed to the pupils of Nabuclod Integrated School.

On March 1, Trinley completed a remarkable 68-kilometer walk retracing the Bataan Death March route, from KM0 in Mariveles to KM68 in Dinalupihan, as a solemn act of remembrance for the Filipino and American soldiers who endured unimaginable hardship in 1942.

Accompanied by her father, Chris, Trinley turned her walk into a purposeful service initiative. Together they raised an impressive P218,155 and pledged to divide the donations between the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation and the Filipino American Memorial Endowment (FAME). Part of these funds was used to purchase the 85 school kits distributed to students at Nabuclod Integrated School.

Providing school kits removes barriers to learning, affirms a child’s dignity, and supports continuity in their education. This support is especially vital for indigenous Aeta children, who frequently face heightened challenges such as limited access to learning materials, geographic isolation, and persistent socio-economic obstacles. For these learners, school kits can be tools that help sustain attendance, build confidence, and open pathways to future opportunities.

To Trinley, Chris, her classmates who helped assemble the kits, and everyone who donated: thank you for transforming history into a living lesson of compassion and for equipping our learners with tools to dream bigger. because of you! ⛵

The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation is pleased to reaffirm its partnership with Abenson and the W&J Lim Foundation, a collaboration that began in 2023 and is grounded in a shared commitment to ensuring every Filipino child can access quality education.

Through this renewed partnership, two meaningful initiatives will expand educational access: the construction of a Yellow School of Hope: Starter Classroom in Datu Salibo, Maguindanao del Sur, and the deployment of an additional motorized Yellow School Boat in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Present at the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement and check turnover were Abenson representatives Mr. Raymart Lavado (Corporate Sales Supervisor), Ms. Melody Villatura (HR Compensation and Benefits Supervisor), Ms. Sheryl Dela Cruz (Senior HR Manager), and Ms. Alyana Mallari (Assistant Organization Development Supervisor), alongside Dr. Anton Lim, President and Co-Founder of the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation. Their attendance underscored each organization’s shared dedication to creating lasting educational impact.

: The Yellow School of Hope: Starter Classroom at Ambadao Elementary School has welcomed students this new school year! 🏫✨

We are delighted to see the starter classroom we built at our adopted school in Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur, now in active use by students.

Ambadao Elementary School, like many remote schools across the Philippines, faces classroom shortages and limited government funding. In response, we partnered with an anonymous donor and RCBC to construct this Yellow School of Hope: Starter Classroom, ensuring every child has a dignified space to learn and flourish.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our anonymous donor for entrusting us with this mission, to RCBC for its indispensable partnership, and to Hope Paddler Sir Mastura Unayan and the Ambadao Elementary School community for exemplifying the inspiring spirit of Bayanihan that made this classroom a reality.

We look forward to the lasting positive impact this classroom will have on the students’ educational journeys. Indeed, ! ⛵

: The newly upgraded library and computer room at Alfonso Lista Central School - Alternative Learning System is now actively being used by students! 🏫🪑📚

We are pleased to announce that the newly outfitted library and computer room at our adopted school in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao, is now open and serving students.

Alfonso Lista Central School is one of seven schools benefiting from upgrades made possible through our partnership with the Canva Foundation’s Empowered Spaces program.

This learning space has been fully furnished with essential items and equipment to spark students’ curiosity and support their learning:

: The Yellow School of Hope: Starter Classroom at our adopted school in Sharif Saydona Mustafa, Maguindanao del Sur, becomes a beacon of care for students! 🧠❤️‍🩹

Recently, the school nurse at Datu Samad Ukas National High School transformed this starter classroom into an essential hub for Mental Health Awareness, empowering students’ well-being, conducting health profiling, and recording BMI measurements.

With vital support from the Canva Foundation, we established this starter classroom to address the urgent need for safe learning spaces following Super Typhoon and Tropical Depression in July 2024.

We are pleased to announce that 81 Hope Boxes, each containing essential school supplies and generously provided by our partners at SGV Foundation, have been safely delivered to and distributed at Supon National High School for our eager young learners. An additional 36 were purchased by the teachers and Sir Ryan Madamba to ensure every enrolled student received a school kit. Some school kits, which included monetary assistance, were given to one of the school's academic scholars.

In remote communities such as our adopted school, pencils, notebooks, and learning kits ignite creativity, foster confidence, and equip children with the tools to transcend poverty through education. Absent these essential resources, their aspirations remain out of reach; with them, dreams can take flight.
