In Kendall-Whittier, neighborhood change doesn’t mean displacement.

Our partners, Purpose Built Communities, have coined a term for this: withintrification.

Through initiatives like the Kendall-Whittier Neighborhood Trust (KWNT), our neighborhood can experience real, positive revitalization while the people who built and have sustained this neighborhood get to stay, lead, and benefit from what's being built.

Since 2015, Growing Together has partnered with Purpose Built Communities and today, we are proud to be the oldest Purpose-Built Communities network member in Oklahoma.

KWNT is permanently affordable housing that keeps our legacy families rooted in the neighborhood they helped shape.

People don't fear investment. They fear exclusion, which is why we develop our neighborhood with the people who live here.

- Understand what residents are experiencing day to day
- Identify patterns that point to deeper needs
- Coordinate with partners who can fill the gaps
- Help strengthen the conditions every family deserves

At Growing Together, we believe something deeply:

A connected community is a resilient one. And our community is our greatest resource.

The most valuable data that is used to improve our neighborhood doesn't come from national benchmarks or industry reports. It comes from the families, students, educators, and neighbors of Kendall-Whittier who trusted us enough to share their experiences, honestly.

Our neighbors' voices tell us where we're making a difference. Their voices tell us where we need to grow. And their voices are now shaping every decision we make for next year.

That's the difference between an organization that serves a community and one that is truly PART of it.

The next school year hasn't started yet. But it's already being built on a foundation of community voice and a relentless commitment to getting better for the families who are counting on us.
