We are pleased to present the largest kitten and the smallest kitten in the litter, with the former weighing 440 grams and the latter weighing 320 grams. At nearly three weeks old, these kittens have developed notable physical characteristics, including fully opened eyes, emerging teeth, and an inclination to play.

Kitten season is in full swing, and our team has been deep in the work with 3 different colonies while collaborating with other local rescues and shelters to help as many cats as possible. 💜

This sweet momma came from the Inola colony. Her own kittens were old enough to be eating on their own, while a local shelter was overwhelmed with fragile bottle babies needing around-the-clock care. We decided to take a chance and see if this loving momma might accept a few orphaned kittens…

…and she did. 🥹

She immediately took to them, and the babies settled right in like they had always belonged together. Watching a momma cat choose to nurture kittens that aren’t her own is one of those beautiful reminders of just how incredible animals are.

These are the moments that make all the exhaustion of kitten season worth it. 🐾
