Today, we pause to remember.

Memorial Day is not about long weekends, cookouts, or the unofficial start of summer. It is about honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation and the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Behind every name etched on a memorial wall is a story. A family forever changed. A chair that sits empty. A sacrifice that can never be repaid.

At Overwatch Peer Support, we recognize that service often comes with a cost, and for some, that cost was everything. We remember those who answered the call, stood in harm’s way, and never made it home.

Today, we honor their courage. We honor their sacrifice. And we honor the families, friends, and brothers and sisters in arms who continue to carry their memory forward.

May we never forget that our freedom was purchased by those willing to give their tomorrow for our today.

We remember.
We honor.
We will never forget.

Summer hunger is REAL. ☀️🍎
When school is out, many children lose access to free and reduced breakfast and lunch programs, which means more families turn to local food pantries for help.
At the same time, donations often slow down to the pantry during the summer months.
NTX Community Food Pantry needs our community NOW more than ever:
💚 Donate food
💙 Give financially
💛 Host a food drive
🐝 Help us keep our shelves full all summer long.
Every can, every dollar, and every act of kindness helps feed neighbors right here in our community.

Every shift teaches us something we never asked to learn.

We spend years racing from call to call, handling crises, tragedies, and moments most people will never witness. We tell ourselves there will be more time later. More time for family. More time for friends. More time for ourselves.

Then life reminds us that time is not guaranteed.

The badge can make us feel responsible for everyone else’s emergencies while ignoring our own needs. But the people who matter most are not waiting for our next promotion, award, or overtime shift. They’re waiting for our phone call, our presence, and our time.

Take the trip.
Make the call.
Sit a little longer at the dinner table.
Tell people what they mean to you.

Because one day, the calls stop. The badge comes off. What remains are the relationships we invested in and the memories we created.

Don’t wait for a tragedy to remind you what matters.

Great time this month representing our Alumni association at the Region 2 meeting hosted by the City of Melissa Police Department!

Our guest speaker was Melissa PD’s own Chief Erik Stokes. He is an incredibly motivated speaker who clearly shares our Chief's core values here in The Colony. (There might be a reason for that! 😉) As you can see in the images, he gave a fantastic presentation.

Chief Stokes spoke about "Understanding Your Why," which really made me reflect on my own journey. Why do I volunteer? Why do I support our officers? I won’t bore you with my personal answers, but it leaves me with a question for everyone reading this: Do you know your "Why"?

Why do you volunteer—or if you don't, why not? You are never too young or too old to start making a difference. It took me 45 years to figure this out, but it's never too late to find your purpose! 💙🖤

Last week, we celebrated National Police Week with our officers. Our members cooked some Hot Dogs on the grill, some sides, and dessert, and just had a fun time talking with our officers and letting them know how much we appreciate them and all the things they do to keep The Colony safe. A big shoutout to all of our volunteers who came out and made this a big success.

⚾️ A Huge Win at the Ballpark! ⚾️

On behalf of the TCCPAA, we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this past Friday night at Riders Field! It was a fantastic night of baseball, community, and support for our local law enforcement.

A very special shout-out to the Frisco RoughRiders for hosting us as the featured foundation of the night. Their partnership is invaluable in helping us raise the funds needed to support the men and women of The Colony Police Department.

And of course, our special guest, Scout, stole the show—handing out kisses to everyone she met! 🐾💋

Why your support matters:
Every ticket purchased helps us fund critical officer wellness initiatives, provide holiday meals, and purchase essential equipment that falls outside the city budget.

Thank you for standing with us and for your continued dedication to our department!
