Hello anglers,

We hope everyone is doing well. We wanted to provide an important update regarding this weekendโ€™s tournament.

Weather & Safety Considerations โ€“ Saturday, February 14th:

Forecast data for the Tatum, TX / Martin Creek area indicates a high chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday, Feb. 14 with heavy precipitation likely.

In addition to the forecast, weโ€™ve heard reports that Martin Creek Lake is currently about 4 feet low, with concerns about submerged stumps and other hazards affecting navigation and safe fishing conditions.

Because of these weather and safety concerns, the board discussed the best course of action and made the following decision:

Tournament Change Details
New Date: Sunday, February 15, 2026 (instead of Saturday, Feb. 14)
New Location: Grapevine Lake

Since Martin Creek is a longer drive for many and with work schedules on Monday in mind, Grapevine was chosen as the new venue.

Judge: Bill Brown will remain as tournament judge.

Tournament Times:
Start: 6:45 AM
Weigh-in Close: 3:00 PM (changed from 2:30 PM)

We know this change may affect travel plans and pairings, and we appreciate everyoneโ€™s flexibility as we prioritize safety.

Side Pot & Rules
Side pot split will not be changed. 50/50 big bass & heavy stringer

Please remember special TPWD fishing regulations for Grapevine Lake apply.
For largemouth bass there is no minimum length limit, only two largemouth bass less than 18 inches may be retained each day. For smallmouth bass (if present), minimum length limit = 14 inches. No minimum length limit on Alabama, Guadalupe and spotted bass. Daily bag limit for all black bass species is 5 in any combination.

Weigh-In Info
Weigh-in will be held at Katieโ€™s Woods by the Ga***rd Hotel.

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation.

Club,

Sorry for the late change, but we are switching Squaw Creek and Martin Creek on the schedule.

Martin Creek informed us today that they are currently at capacity for tournaments and require a reservation form and fee for each event.

Updated schedule:

Saturday, 1/17: Squaw Creek (Comanche)
As of now, there are 61 launch reservations available, so please book as soon as possible.

Saturday, 2/14: Martin Creek
We have paid and booked this date with them.

In effect, we are simply swapping these two lakes; there is no change to the tournament dates.

Regarding timing, the gate typically opens between 6:30โ€“7:00 a.m., and fishing may begin once you are launched and on the water. Weigh-in will be at 3:00 p.m.

Thanks for your flexibility and understanding.

๐ŸŽฃ TCBC Members โ€“ Texas Bass Nation Club Division Opportunity (2026) ๐ŸŽฃ

Several TCBC members have expressed interest in participating in the Texas Bass Nation (TBN) Club Division for the 2026 season. Good news โ€” these tournament dates do NOT conflict with TCBC Tournament events, thanks to DaShon Peck for aligning the schedule to not conflict with TCBC Tournament events! ๐Ÿ‘

If youโ€™re looking to compete at the next level, represent TCBC, and fish some great Texas lakes, this is a fantastic opportunity.
