💗 We’re worried about our girl Tina, and we need your help.

Tina had a procedure on Tuesday to remove a suspicious growth on her belly. She was groggy and tired afterward, which was expected, but she should be feeling better by now. After a night of vomiting and diarrhea, with no appetite and very little interest in drinking, Tina’s very concerned foster reached out to us this morning.

🏥 Tina was brought to the vet and has received IV fluids and medication for her nausea and vomiting. The vet has prescribed medication and probiotics to help settle her tummy.
Thankfully, her bloodwork looks okay so far! Tina is currently being monitored to make sure she is tolerating the treatment and is okay to go home and rest.

Her veterinary bill is already at $1,600, and the cost may continue to rise as she receives care. We need your help to cover these unexpected expenses.
Our girl Tina has been through so much. She deserves a break, to feel better, and to get back to being herself. ❤️‍🩹

🙏 Please donate and help us give Tina the care she needs. We’re all rooting for you, sweet girl!

🚨 𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓: 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐌𝐀𝐗 – 𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐘, 𝐅𝐋! 🚨

💔 Poor Baymax just cannot catch a break.

Two months ago, Baymax’s world was turned upside down when a woman witnessed someone throw him out of a vehicle and drive away, leaving him behind. That's how this sweet boy ended up in a North Carolina shelter. 😭

We pulled Baymax after securing a foster home for him in Tampa, Florida. We thought his days of uncertainty were finally behind him.

Unfortunately, while Baymax was being neutered, we discovered he is also heartworm-positive.

And now, through no fault of his own, Baymax has lost his original foster home and is sitting in boarding. 💔

Baymax has already started his heartworm treatment, and what he desperately needs now is a quiet, comfortable home where he can safely recover and complete his treatment.

🐾𝑨 𝑳𝑰𝑻𝑻𝑳𝑬 𝑨𝑩𝑶𝑼𝑻 𝑩𝑨𝒀𝑴𝑨𝑿🐾

Baymax is a very sweet boy! We estimate his age to be around 2 years old. He's also on the smaller side for a male. Although he still needs to gain some weight, we expect him to be around 95 pounds once he's at a healthy weight. He seems to do well with other dogs with proper introduction.

❤️ 𝑾𝑯𝑨𝑻 𝑾𝑬'𝑹𝑬 𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑰𝑵 𝑨 𝑴𝑬𝑫𝑰𝑪𝑨𝑳 𝑭𝑶𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑹:

✔️ A quiet, low-traffic home where Baymax can rest and recover.
✔️ No small children (we don't know his history with kids).
✔️ The ability to keep pets separated when necessary to ensure Baymax remains calm and his activity is restricted during treatment.
✔️ Preferably located within 2 hours of Tampa Bay, Florida, so he can attend his scheduled heartworm treatment appointments at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. We will consider longer distances if we can ensure he makes it to his vet appointments.

Can't foster long-term? That's fine! We desperately need a foster during his heartworm treatment (approximately 3 months, from now through mid-January).

💥WE’RE FULL but the Dogos still need us.🚨

Right now, DC Dogos is at maximum capacity. We’ve made the difficult but responsible decision to temporarily pause new intakes so we can focus every resource we have on the Dogos already in our care.

❗️TEMPORARILY PAUSING INTAKES DOESN’T PAUSE THE NEED. The Dogos already in our care still need us, and right now we need your help more than ever with DONATIONS, FOSTERS, and ADOPTERS.

❗️With Tango and now Baymax both in boarding, our boarding costs are nearing $4,000 EVERY MONTH.
❗️As a foster-based rescue, boarding is not a normal expense for us. Every additional day in boarding costs money that could be used to save another Dogo.

While we work to reduce boarding costs, our normal expenses continue:
❤️ Veterinary care
❤️ Food
❤️ Supplies
❤️ Rehabilitation and training
❤️ Monthly preventives

❗️Our goal is simple: get Tango & Baymax into HOMES and reduce our boarding expenses, rebuild our emergency fund, and create room to start saying YES again.

‼️Your support can make an immediate difference. If 100 people give $10, that’s $1,000!
↪️100% of all funds go directly toward rescuing Dogo Argentinos.

🚨 WE NEED HELP WITH TANGO’S BOARDING FEES! 🚨

Tango has been with our rescue since the beginning of this year. He spent a short time in a temporary foster home, but sadly, most of his time with us has been spent living in boarding.

❗️The invoice you see is for just THREE MONTHS of Tango’s boarding — $5,060. Think about how many other dogs that money could help save. But as long as Tango remains in boarding, these expenses continue to pile up month after month.

💥 Now we’re facing an even bigger challenge…
Tomorrow, Baymax will also be going into boarding. We are reaching the point where we will not be able to help any more dogs until we can get the dogs already in our care out of boarding and into homes.

‼️ We URGENTLY need two things right now:
donations toward Tango’s & Baymax’s boarding and fosters or forever homes for them.

Even $5, $10, or $20 toward his boarding makes a difference.

📍 Tampa Bay Area — or within 2 hours

We still have ZERO foster offers for Baymax, which means he will now have to go into boarding. 💔

Boarding will only set him back and create another financial burden that prevents us from helping other dogs who desperately need us right now.

🙏 Even a short-term foster can help! If you can foster for a few weeks, a month, or longer, please let us know how much time you can give.

Anything is better than Baymax going into boarding.🙏

🚨 Please comment below or message us ASAP if you can help!

📍 𝑻𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂, 𝑭𝑳

Baymax needs a hero, and he needs one NOW. 💔

Baymax is heartworm positive and is scheduled for his heartworm consultation tomorrow at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Unfortunately, his current foster is unable to keep him through treatment, so we desperately need a committed medical foster to step up and help him through the next few months.

Without a foster in place, we may be forced to postpone his consultation and treatment. We don't yet know how advanced his heartworm disease is, and the last thing we want to do is delay the care he needs.

❤️‍🩹 Baymax needs a foster commitment for at least four months while he completes treatment. His foster will need to live within a reasonable driving distance of Tampa so he can continue receiving care at the Humane Society. He is expected to have only three veterinary appointments in total during his treatment.

We cannot afford to put Baymax into boarding, and he shouldn't have to recover from heartworm treatment in a kennel. He needs a quiet, loving home where he can rest, heal, and finally feel safe. 🥺

🙏 PLEASE, if you are anywhere near the Tampa area and can give Baymax a safe place to land for the next four months, we desperately need you!

🚨 ATTENTION 🚨

💥 We are overwhelmed! The number of Dogos needing rescue is relentless, and we cannot save another Dogo until we find homes for some already in our care. 💔

❗️Tina & Tango are boarding, costing us around $3,000 EVERY MONTH. If Baymax doesn’t have a foster by this weekend, he will also go to boarding, bringing our monthly cost to $4,500!

✳️ We don’t rescue Dogos from shelters just to put them into another kennel. Every Dogo we pull has a foster or temporary foster lined up. Boarding is NEVER our plan, but circumstances change, fosters fall through, and sometimes, despite our best efforts, here we are.

The following Dogos need a foster/adopter ASAP:

🐾 BAYMAX — Tampa, FL
URGENT!!! Needs a medical foster through heartworm treatment, within reasonable distance to Tampa.

🐾 DAISY — Tampa, FL
Needs a foster/adopter ASAP. After doing wonderfully in a temp foster during spay recovery, she is back in boarding and struggling.

🐾 DEMI — Tickfaw, LA
Has been with her foster for two years with virtually no interest. She urgently needs a foster/adopter through no fault of her own.

🐾 EVITA — Mesa, AZ
Needs a new foster/adopter by November. This sweet senior has had almost no interest. 💔

🐾 JULIET — Houston, TX
Just completed heartworm treatment and needs another foster or forever home!

🐾 TANGO — Myakka City, FL
In BOARDING FOR OVER SIX MONTHS. Desperately needs a foster/adopter ASAP.

🐾 TINA — San Diego, CA
Her foster had an emergency so Tina is now in boarding. She also had a growth we want surgically removed, but needs a temp foster for her recovery time! ❤️‍🩹

Except for Baymax, who must complete HW treatment first, ALL are available for adoption.

💔 Until we get some of these Dogos into homes, we may have no choice but to FREEZE INTAKE. That means saying NO to the next Dogo who desperately needs our help. Out-of-state transport available!

❗️If you can foster or adopt, please apply ASAP.
🙏🏼 If you can help with a donation we would appreciate it greatly!

🩷 Tina has made so much progress, and now she needs a safe place to heal.

🏥 Our sweet girl has a growth on her belly that is bleeding and needs to be removed and sent for testing. After her vet visit, she’ll need 10–14 days of quiet rest and special care to keep the area clean while she heals.
💥 We’re looking for a temporary medical foster in the San Diego or Southern California area who can give her a safe, comfortable place to recover. ❤️‍🩹

❗️Tina is still in boarding, and while they’ve been taking great care of her, it’s not an ideal place for her to heal. Tina is still waiting for her forever home or a foster family to get her out of boarding, and now she needs a little extra help getting through this next step. 🙏

✳ Can you give Tina a safe place to rest for a couple of weeks? A quiet space and some extra TLC would mean so much to this girl.

👉 We also need to raise $800 for her vet care. If you can’t foster but would like to help, please consider making a donation toward Tina’s medical care.
