Each month, highlights a local Artist of the Month, and that artist gets to choose a nonprofit partner to feature alongside their work. Nneka Jones () is June’s featured artist and she selected Gasparilla Arts as her nonprofit!

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, or stop by Sky Puppy Brewing anytime throughout June to see Nneka’s work and support local art. 🎨🍻

Shining a spotlight on Project Return, Inc. 💙

Recently, Project Return hosted a free community Art Blowout Sale, giving attendees the opportunity to purchase original artwork while directly supporting a space where artists can express themselves, build confidence, and form meaningful connections.

We were honored to have several Project Return artists featured at previous Gasparilla Festival of the Arts events in our Community Engagement Village. Their participation is a wonderful reminder of how art can bring people together, create opportunities, and amplify voices throughout our community.

Changing of the Chairs! 🪑

We recently gathered at OXH Gallery to celebrate the upcoming festival year and officially welcome our 2027 Festival Co-Chairs!

As part of a long-standing festival tradition, our outgoing Co-Chairs passed down the token chairs that each member holds during their time in leadership, a symbolic moment that connects years of festival history and service.

It was an evening filled with celebration, laughter, cocktails, and support as our new leadership team steps into the year ahead.

Gasparilla Arts is proud to recognize the winners of this year’s Young Artists Expo! 👏

Isabella Stanley, Lakeland High School
Jude Steele, Davenport High School
Desana Dashi, Palm Harbor University High School

Each student received a $1,000 award, and their school art programs were each awarded an additional $2,000 in support of arts education. Award ceremonies were held, bringing together students, families, and school leaders to celebrate these talented young artists and their achievements.
