Day 5 of CCC's Kite Camp Week 1, A Pirate's Life, was the perfect ending to an unforgettable week! 🏴‍☠️

Campers started the day building their very own pirate ships with Deloitte. Next, Bricks 4 Kidz-Tampa, FL stopped by, and campers put together pirate-themed LEGO creations. The fun continued when Chill Bros. Scoop Shop stopped by with some sweet treats. Campers then participated in Art Therapy, creating treasure boxes and messages in a bottle.

The day wrapped up with a movie, camp awards, and a family dinner, celebrating a week filled with great memories, friendships, and laughter. Thank you to Suncoast Credit Union for making all the adventures and fun of Kite Camp Week 1 possible! ☀️

Day 4 of CCC's Kite Camp Week 1, A Pirate's Life, could not have been better! 🏴‍☠️

The day started with the camp song and a visit from a donut truck! Campers enjoyed donuts before diving into a day full of pirate-themed fun. They created chocolate coins, dug for treasure, and made crafts throughout the day before getting a surprise visit from Ye Loyal Krewe of Grace O' Malley, who brought a pirate invasion to the CCC!

Campers spent their afternoon soaring on a giant swinging pirate ship and racing down the water slide, splashing into the pool below! The day wrapped up with a movie and popcorn, ending another unforgettable day of Kite Camp! 🙌

Day 3 of CCC's Kite Camp Week 1, A Pirate's Life, was full of baseball and fun! ⚾

The day started with the camp song and some board games before the kids headed to visit the Tampa Tarpons! Campers got the chance to run the field with the players, exchanging plenty of high fives along the way. Next, they practiced throwing baseballs before heading to the batting cages to show off their hitting skills. The fun continued with a game of wiffle ball, where a few campers even knocked out some home runs!

The Yankees treated the campers to a baseball classic for lunch—hot dogs and French fries. After returning to the center, a gaming bus was waiting for them! Campers spent the afternoon playing games before ending the day with a movie and freshly popped popcorn.

Highlights from a wonderful month in our Big Buddy Program! 💙

Our Big Buddy Program pairs siblings of children diagnosed with cancer or chronic blood disorders with first-year students from USF and LECOM, creating opportunities to build meaningful relationships, find support, and form lasting connections.

This month, one buddy pair experienced the excitement of indoor skydiving, while another enjoyed sharing a meal together. From new adventures to meaningful conversations, these outings made for a memorable month!

Day 2 of CCC's Kite Camp Week 1, A Pirate's Life, was packed with adventure! 🌊

Campers started their day by singing the camp song before playing board games and creating their own unique bucket hats with iron-on patches. Next, they loaded up on the bus and headed to Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise, where they enjoyed water gun fights, searched for gold, and played pirate-themed games like limbo and musical chairs.

After their pirate adventure, the campers enjoyed a delicious lunch at Crabby's Dockside before hopping back on the bus to watch a movie on the ride back to the CCC. The day wrapped up with another movie and some time to relax before an exciting second day of camp came to an end.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings!

Day 1 of CCC's Kite Camp Week 1, A Pirate's Life, set the bar high! ☀️

The campers kicked off their day by learning the camp song and playing games before enjoying a parrot show, where the parrots showed off tricks—including playing basketball! Campers even had the chance to meet and hold the parrots.

After the parrot festivities, the kids got creative with mermaid- and pirate-themed paintings. Following lunch and outdoor play, campers enjoyed Italian ice—a refreshing treat on a warm day!

The day wrapped up with campers settling in to watch a movie while enjoying some delicious, freshly popped popcorn.
