What a ride! 🏍️ Thank you to everyone who came out to the Fort Walton Beach Harley Raffle in support of Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Your support helps us provide cradle-to-career education to the children of fallen or widowed Special Operations Personnel and Medal of Honor Recipients.

🎓 Where Is He Now? Checking in with SOWF graduate, Kollin Upton!

Kollin graduated from Florida Institute of Technology and now lives and works right here in the Tampa Bay area. Kollin's SOWF advocate, Lisa B, recently caught up with Kollin and his wife, Sarah, over lunch - it's always a joy to see our alumni thriving!

Kollin is the surviving son of Staff Sergeant Kurt Upton, who lost his life in 1999 while serving with the 27th SOW. Today, we honor his legacy and celebrate Kollin's success. 🌟

Looking back on a phenomenal summer, we're reminded of all the special memories our SOWF families shared. Here's one from July 28th, when the Klosinski family cheered on the Tampa Bay Rays against the Texas Rangers! ⚾

Abigail is the surviving spouse and Mateo and Sam Klosinski are the surviving sons of Army Colonel Vance Klosinski, who lost his life in 2022 while serving with the United States Special Operations Command. We are honored to support this family in his memory. 🧡

🎓 Where Is She Now? Checking in with SOWF graduate, Alexandra "Ali" Stevenson!
Ali graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018 with a degree in Anthropology. Today, she's a PhD candidate in Integrated Coastal Sciences at East Carolina University, currently living in the U.S. Virgin Islands leading coral restoration work.

As Ali put it in a recent community workshop feature: “From my background in environmental anthropology, I see restoration not just as an ecological effort, but as a community process. Being on the ground this Summer, I realized how accessible restoration work can be. For these projects to be sustainable, they have to reflect local needs and create real opportunities for hands-on involvement.” We are incredibly proud of her achievements!

Ali is the surviving daughter of Major Terry Stevenson, who lost his life in 2014 while assigned to 1st Special Forces Command. Today, we honor his legacy and celebrate Ali's continued success. 🌟
