A huge thank you to everyone who came out to this year’s Mega Dog Adoption Festival! 🐾

278 dogs found their forever homes, including 56 from the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center.

We are beyond grateful for a community that shows up, again and again, for these dogs. Your love and support make all of this possible.

But our work isn’t done. Many dogs have returned to the shelter and are still waiting for their chance at a forever family. Every adoption saves a life, and there are still so many lives to save.

We always knew we wanted dogs. What we did not know was how getting them would teach us so much.

Two dogs, two very different experiences, and one mission that would not exist without both of them.

We are so grateful for what they taught us and we are even more grateful to be able to use those lessons to advocate for and support dogs right here in Tampa Bay. 🐾💙

Meet Spike and his Warrior, Warren. 🐾💙

In 2025, Spike became the second service dog sponsored by Team Godwin Foundation through our partnership with K9s For Warriors.

K9s For Warriors has become a true part of the Team Godwin Foundation family, joining us at our annual gala each year and bringing their graduates and trainees into our community.

Seeing these dogs with their Warriors reminds us every single time why this work matters. Follow along to meet more Team Godwin Foundation sponsored graduates in the near future!

Right here in Tampa Bay, there are over 5,000 children in foster care who need safe homes, consistent support, and people willing to show up for them. Those are real kids in our community who deserve every chance at a bright future.

We are so honored to share that we recently had the privilege of establishing the Chris and Mariah Godwin Recovery Initiative Fund through the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center Foundation. 🐾💙

This fund exists to provide critical veterinary care for animals that have suffered cruelty, neglect, or severe medical conditions and need someone to fight for them.

This is exactly what Team Godwin Foundation was built for. Every animal that comes through that door deserving care and a second chance at life, will have a resource behind them because of the incredible community that has supported us.

To our Tampa Bay community, thank you for making moments like this possible!
