Your job results do not define your worth.

Job searching can be exhausting… especially when you’re also managing narcolepsy or idiopathic hypersomnia.

On October 20, join PWN4PWN’s AI Workshop for Job Seekers, part of the JOBS Project, for practical strategies and AI tools to help reframe setbacks, stay motivated, and protect your confidence through the search.

Guitar Lab is going somewhere different today.

Jane E. Powell is joining me live to talk about Beyond the Sleep: the song, making the music video, her journey with narcolepsy, pregnancy and becoming parents, and everything that happened behind the scenes.

We’ll talk music. We’ll tell some stories. And we’ll probably go places we didn’t plan on going.

No script. Just the two of us talking about what this project became… and why it means so much to us.

LIVE TODAY • 4:00 PM ET on the SRV Theory YouTube channel.

Bring your questions. Come hang out with us.

It started with a song.

Then people started showing up.

A camera here. A handmade sign there. A laugh. A guitar. A piece of somebody’s life.

Somewhere along the way, Beyond the Sleep stopped belonging to the people making it.

It became part of the community that inspired it.

To everyone who gave us a piece of your story: thank you.

Beyond the Sleep is now on YouTube.

Most of you know me here because of Stevie Ray Vaughan and the guitar.

Today, I want to show you something different.

I had the opportunity to help create Beyond the Sleep, a music video for PWN4PWN and the narcolepsy community.

I added guitars to the song, produced the video, and somewhere along the way it became much more personal than another music project.

It premieres today at 3 PM ET on YouTube for World Narcolepsy Day.

If you’ve ever enjoyed something I’ve made here, I’d love for you to spend four minutes with this one.

If narcolepsy has changed your life, give us one word.

Exhausted. Misunderstood. Resilient. Angry. Hopeful. Seen.

Whatever your word is, leave it below.

Tomorrow, on World Narcolepsy Day, we premiere Beyond the Sleep, a music video created for this community.

You are not alone.

Most of you know me because of the guitar.

But every once in a while, the guitar gets to point toward something bigger.

Beyond the Sleep is one of those times.

I became part of this song through PWN4PWN and its mission to bring greater understanding to life with narcolepsy. What started with a song became a film, and a story involving people whose lives reach far beyond a diagnosis.

September 22 is World Narcolepsy Day.

This is Beyond the Sleep 2026.

The guitar was only part of the story.

09/18/2026

A song became a story.
And the story became something bigger.

Beyond the Sleep was created to give a voice to an experience that can be difficult to explain: the reality of living with narcolepsy.

This year, we’re returning to that story.

Not just for the music.
Not just for the film.
For the people behind it.

September 22 is World Narcolepsy Day.

A song. A mission. A community.

The story continues.
