Meet Sadie!!
This beautiful and sweet girl is looking for her forever family! She was left alone for days at a time with only food, water and a dog door, and finally her owner moved out and left her behind. We took her in back in Feb and have been working extensively with a trainer to integrate her into our pack. Unfortunately, it seems that due to whatever has happened in her past she is far too anxious to be with any other dogs in the home. The trainer feels it is not aggression, but it does not feel safe due to how worked up she gets, and she needs to be the only pet.

She is 6 years old, has had a thorough work up at our vet and is in perfect health! She is spayed, vaccinated, crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash. While on her walks, she couldn’t care less about other dogs, cats, kids, deer etc. But in her home, she needs to be the only pet. We do not have cats or young children, and neither did her previous owner. We assume it would be best if older kids and no dogs or cats be in her new home.

She LOVES the car, pup cups, treats, frozen beef bones, her squishy bed and just being near her human(s). She is still playful and fun, but equally happy to just chill. Walks are her favorite, so hiking would probably be her jam too. She loves to be outside! We have taken her to hotels with us and she’s fantastic. We also board her with a few Rover homes and they all tell us she behaves perfectly when with them.

We are heartbroken to let her go, but at this point it is more stressful for her than fair, and we want her to have an awesome home that will spoil her like the princess she is. She will come with everything she owns (which is a lot lol), including her crate and a large bag of her current dog food to help her transition.

Please give this girl the best life she can have, she’s been failed by humans and deserves the world!

🐾 Meet Pickle! 🐾

Pickle is a sweet, energetic 50-pound boy looking for a loving home where he can get plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles. He is neutered and has lots of personality!

Pickle can take a little time to settle around new people, but once he feels comfortable, he is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle and play. ❤️

🐱 Cats: He does well around cats and may even try to play with them.

🐶 Dogs: Pickle can be pushy with other dogs and tends to do better with larger dogs. A meet-and-greet would be important for any home with another dog.

👧 Kids: A home without young children would be best, as Pickle needs people who understand and respect dog boundaries.

Pickle would thrive with someone who has the time to give him the exercise, attention, structure, and love he deserves. He has so much affection to give and is ready to find his perfect match

❤️ Looking for a Loving Forever Home for Our Sweet Girl ❤️

Due to an upcoming military PCS move, my husband and I will be moving beginning of October, and unfortunately we have to make the incredibly difficult decision to rehome our beautiful 7-year-old female Shar-Pei/Pitbull mix because she is breed restricted in the base and we have no other choice at this point but to find her a safe loving home.

This is NOT something we are doing lightly, let alone want to do. We love her dearly and our biggest priority is finding her a safe, loving home where she will be treated like family and cared for for the rest of her life.

About her:
• 7-year-old female Shar-Pei/Pitbull mix
• Sweet, affectionate, and full of personality
• Very energetic and loves exercise
• LOVES running, playing fetch, and playing in the water
• Loves cuddling and being close to her people
• Very talkative when she wants attention or some loving
• Does well with children
• House-trained and crate-trained
• She will come with her large, escape-proof rolling kennel
• Absolutely gorgeous and doesn’t always realize just how big she is

• She’s fixed and up to date on her shots.

Important information about her home:

She needs to be an only-dog household. She is not dog-friendly and has shown aggression toward other dogs. We have had other dogs with her in the past, but she had to be muzzled whenever interacting with them, so we believe the safest and happiest situation for her is a home where she is the only dog.

Bosley is 9 years old, approximately 80 pounds, neutered, vaccinated, and well established in a family home. He has lived with our two young children for eight years. He is a gentle, thoughtful dog who enjoys sniff walks, quiet evenings, and simply being near his people.

He receives regular veterinary care and manages allergies and anxiety with prescription food, fluoxetine, and Apoquel or Cytopoint. He would do best in a calm home, ideally as the only pet. We can provide complete medical and behavioral information and would be closely involved in making sure a placement is appropriate.

Meet Disco Snail! ❤️ Disco is a young, energetic 55-lb pup looking for a new home because he and the family’s older male dog aren’t a good match.

Disco does well with their female dog and two cats. He can be reactive to unfamiliar dogs, but has been working with a behaviorist and has made great progress. He’s playful, food-motivated, and loves to snuggle!

Disco is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, recently had dental work, and even loves ice cubes as treats. 🧊

Jango is a smart, loyal, and affectionate dog. He’s been through basic training, is kennel-trained, and knows many commands. He is very food-motivated, which makes him eager and quick to learn. He thrives on structure and routine, and he absolutely loves being around people, especially kids. He’s also great with other animals (his best friend is a cat), though he is reactive to dogs on a leash and doesn’t do well in large groups of dogs, as his play style can be a bit intense. The leash reactivity is a new thing. I think he would do best with either a senior dog, or a female that is older than him. He has lived with dogs in the past.

He’s healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He can stay in a kennel when needed but shouldn’t be left free when home alone, as he may get into things. Overall, he’s an active, loving companion who just needs the right environment and someone who can give him the time and consistency he deserves.

I’m looking for an experienced owner who can offer him more time and attention than I currently can. I cannot stress enough how much Jango means to me, and I’m in no rush to find the right fit.

Here are some things we want to tell you about this amazing dog that goes by Mama.
Surrendering her is something that has hurt us to our cores and this decision was done for her best interest. She needs more than we can provide for her at this point in our lives.

She goes by Mama
She is protective of the people she loves
She needs a home with space to run
We are not sure how she does with other dogs so she would do best in a home with no dogs
She is good with children but when she gets excited she can knock kids over so it is best for kids over the age of 5
Needs some training in the following area;
Snipping (not biting) out of protection
Anxiety of other dogs
Unknown behavior around older kids
When rough housing and tickle fights she get protective and will snip (not bite) out of protection / excitement
Does good on walks until other dogs show up, she will start to bark and may lunge
Anxious when left alone.
Not crate trained and not sure how she will do due to being a breeding dog before we took her home
Does good with treats will jump in excitement will calm down and take it from your hand
No food aggression
She is a very happy dog
She is a huge goof ball
She loves to love

Meet Rango! He’s available through our friends at Auburn Valley Humane Society

This 3-year-old charmer came to the AVHS in early May, and the more we’ve gotten to know him, the more we’ve realized what a gentleman he really is.

The shelter can make him seem high-energy, but in a home, he’s surprisingly mellow. He loves sunbathing, finding the perfect nap spot, chewing on a good bone, and working on enrichment toys.

He’s 1000% potty trained, has great recall, takes treats gently, doesn’t jump on people or counter surf, and is food motivated and quick to learn. Basically, his house manners deserve to be noted on the record.

On walks, he generally doesn’t pull and enjoys longer adventures at his own pace. Big dogs can make him nervous, and deer are apparently VERY exciting. Squirrels, however, get a pass.

He loves tug-of-war and will usually play about two rounds of fetch before lying down with the ball and declaring the game complete. We would not recommend placement with a male dog or another dog who is selective or has social behavioral challenges.

He’s a big baby, a quick learner, and a genuinely sweet dog who just needs time and security to blossom. Because he needs continued support with some reactivity, he’ll do best with a dog-experienced home ready to help him shine.

Some quick facts about Blue:
* American Blue Nose Pit Bull
* 61 pounds
* 4 years old
* Neutered
* Vaccinations up to date
* Microchipped
* Great with dogs and cats!
* Knows 30 signs
* Easy on a leash
* No medications

The couple who adopted Blue are getting divorced and cannot bring him to their next homes. They are brokenhearted, but hope to find a great 2nd home for this sweet boy. He is great with dogs and cats. He should not be in a home with young children as he is sensitive to loud noises and fast movements.

Blue was raised in a home with two deaf individuals and understands about 30 signs. He is very vocal and once you get to know his noises, you will know exactly what he is saying to you. He has a great personality!

Blue has had knee surgery so he cannot jump, but can walk, run, and will get on a couch only if you invite him up! He can use stairs but takes his time. He loves going on walks and does not pull on a leash. He loves the park and enjoys sunbathing.
