This week, the D.A. Gonyea Boys & Girls Club is hosting Lights On After School, an open house where parents of our members can get a closer look at the Club and see all the wonderful things happening here!

Next week, we’ll wrap up the month with a Trunk or Treat event exclusively for our members. Then, in November, we’ll celebrate the season of gratitude with our Harvest Fest, bringing members and their parents together to share a meal and give thanks.

We’re excited for these opportunities to connect with our families, create lasting memories, and celebrate our amazing Club community!

💜 Fuel a great cause! ⛽️

Now through October, stop by your local Shell station and look for the PURPLE GIVING PUMPS! A portion of sales from these pumps will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs across Washington—including Clubs right here in our community.

Fill up. Look for purple. Give back. 💜

With the gracious support of a grant from the local Puyallup Tribe, the Gonyea Boys & Girls Club found a meaningful way to add to the beauty of the land around us by raising butterflies.

From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, our members had the opportunity to be part of every stage of their incredible transformation.

Once the butterflies had fully emerged and were ready to fly, we released them back into nature, giving them the freedom to continue their journey.

Celebrating Mo Jensen 💙

Last week, we had the honor of supporting Mo at the State Youth of the Year Competition in Seattle. They represented our Club with incredible courage and authenticity, and we are so proud to celebrate them as our 2026 Youth of the Year.

Their story inspired hope, reminding every young person in the room what it means to be seen, accepted, and to belong. Thank you, Mo, for being that voice ✨
