What a beautiful weekend for a little wandering!

Sometimes the best adventures are the ones where you simply get out and see where the day takes you. Our weekend was filled with shopping, Pumpkinfest fun, beautiful fall drives, and plenty of time spent enjoying the gorgeous autumn scenery.

No big agenda, just good friends, beautiful weather, and a weekend spent wandering and enjoying fall!

🎃 Halloween Dance Fun - What a night! Last Friday, we packed the gym for our BIG Halloween party! A full dance floor, great music, and plenty of Halloween fun. We had a BOO-last celebrating together! Check out the photos...

It was the perfect fall day to take our creativity outside! These gorgeous ladies spent the afternoon learning the colorful art of alcohol inks on glass jars! Alcohol inks are highly pigmented, fast-drying inks that move and blend in unique ways on smooth surfaces like glass.

We experimented with dropping, swirling, blending, and layering different colors, learning how the inks react when they meet and how alcohol can help move and soften the colors. One of the best parts is that you never quite know what pattern you’re going to get; every swirl and blend creates something completely different!

It’s Halloween time, and this crew was ready for some seriously SCARY fun!

We headed to Heap’s Haunted Corn Maze in Minooka, IL, known as one of the scariest haunted corn mazes in Illinois…and this brave group took on the challenge! From creepy characters lurking in the corn to unexpected scares around every corner, there were plenty of screams, jumps, and lots of laughs along the way.

After surviving the maze, we rewarded ourselves with some delicious fall treats and slowed things down with a beautiful moonlit hayride through the farm.

And yes…everyone made it out of the corn maze!

Ready…Set…SCIENCE!

The Gravity Gang was back at it with another hands-on physics experiment, and this time we built our own balloon-powered cars!

Using simple supplies like plastic lids, skewers, straws, and balloons, we put our engineering skills to the test. We built, experimented, made a few adjustments, blew up those balloons…and then it was time to RACE!

Some cars zoomed, some zigzagged, and some needed a little extra engineering before making it across the finish line, but that’s what experimenting is all about! Along the way, we saw physics in action as air escaping from the balloons provided the force that sent our cars rolling.

Our Paint n Sips are always a favorite with our friends, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint!

Once again, the fabulous Artist Abby joined us and guided everyone step-by-step as we learned some new painting techniques and created these adorable black cat paintings! Each artist added their own personality and creative touches, making every cat a little different—and that’s our favorite part!

A little paint, a little creativity, and a whole lot of purr-fect fun! 🎨

We spent an amazing fall evening at the Chicago Botanic Garden Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanterns, and WOW—these weren’t your average pumpkins!

We wandered through the garden checking out row after row of incredibly carved jack-o’-lanterns. From funny faces and familiar characters to unbelievable works of art, there was something new to discover around every corner. We had so much fun picking out our favorites and admiring all the creativity that went into each pumpkin!

Nothing says FALL like a day of fun on the farm! 🍁

We headed to Stade's Farm & Market Fall Fest in McHenry for a full day of fall adventures, and the weather definitely cooperated; it was an absolutely beautiful day to be outside!

And really… can you even have a proper fall farm day without an apple c***r doughnut? Those delicious doughnuts were definitely a highlight!

After all that farm fun, we were ready for dinner! We headed over to Meat & Potato Eatery - McHenry to relax, enjoy a good meal, and talk about our favorite parts of the day.

We got ourselves into a little yarn situation… and we loved every minute of it!

We wrapped, twisted, looped, and wrapped some more to create these fabulous fall wreaths. Everyone picked their favorite fall colors and put their own spin on their creation. By the end, we had beautiful wreaths, plenty of laughs, and probably enough stray yarn to make a few more!

Hockey season is here, and we’re ready for it!

We kicked off the season with an exciting night cheering on the Chicago Wolves! There’s nothing quite like the energy of a hockey game: fast action, great company, and lots of fun!

A huge THANK YOU to the Chicago Wolves for generously gifting us tickets and giving our group the opportunity to enjoy such a great night together.

And the fun didn’t stop with hockey! Border Tails Rescue was also there hosting an adoption event, so of course we had to stop and meet some adorable four-legged friends!
