The Sycamore Champions Foundation is proud to award a Champion Workforce Scholarship to Josh Smith, owner of The Dirty Bird 815 and The Angry Pickle Pub! This scholarship supports local business owners and employees by providing access to continuing education, professional training, workshops, and other opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge.

By investing in professional growth and workforce development, we’re helping local businesses gain the tools and resources they need to succeed, grow, and thrive.

Congratulations to Julia Weaver, recipient of our 2026 Future Community Leaders Scholarship!

Julia believes that "the most effective leaders are the ones who make others feel supported and seen." It's a philosophy she has lived through her involvement in student leadership, athletics, volunteer service, and her commitment to helping others.

This fall, Julia will begin studying Human Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky as she pursues a career in occupational therapy. Her passion for serving others and her vision for strengthening the communities around her made her a standout recipient of this year's scholarship.

Congratulations, Julia! We are proud to invest in your future and look forward to the positive impact you'll make for years to come.
