There were new spaces to explore, routines to learn, friendships to reconnect with, and plenty of figuring it out along the way. 😊 And through all of it, the building was filled with happy kids—working, creating, playing, laughing, and finding their groove together.

We’re still settling in, and we have plenty more to learn, but this first week made us so excited and hopeful for the year ahead.

We officially kicked off the new school year with our Back-to-School Picnic!! ☀️💦❤️

It happened to fall on one of the hottest days of the year, but the heat didn’t stop this crew! Sweaty kids, sweaty parents, lots of laughs, lots of water, and eventually…the kids figured out how to make their own water slide. 💦

Thank you to all of our families who came out to celebrate with us! Seeing new faces, familiar faces, and all of these kiddos back together made us even more excited for what’s ahead.

This community is pretty special, and we have a feeling this year is going to be extra special too.

And with the first day of school just around the corner, this one feels pretty perfect.

There’s so much anticipation right now—excitement, nerves, maybe a little bit of both, for our kids and for us.

But as parents, caregivers, and educators, maybe the best thing we can say as they head into a new year is:

To infinity and beyond! 💫

Go explore. Be curious. Be brave. Try new things. Make mistakes. Make friends. Keep growing.

Meet Jenna + Maria! ⛵

Well, here we are!

What began with a friendship and an idea has grown into something we could never have fully imagined. We’ve felt ALL the feelings along the way! Thinking back to welcoming our very first group of kids to where we are now, we’re so proud of how far we’ve come and so incredibly grateful for all of it.

Maria is magic. 🌟 We’ve always said it! People are drawn to her. She’s a storyteller, a motivator, and has a way of making people—children and adults—feel seen and special. She brings warmth, energy, and a whole lot of heart to everything we do.

Jenna brings experience, big ideas, plenty of silliness, and is usually thinking about what comes next…and what comes ten steps after that. 😂 She loves dreaming up what could be and figuring out how to make it happen.

Together, we build on each other. One of us sets it up, the other knocks it down, and then we switch! We dream, problem solve, laugh, learn, push each other, and help each other grow.

Our friendship has carried us through every version of CASCO so far. What a ride it has been, and we’re so excited for what comes next! 💛

We believe in caring for each other, showing up for each other, laughing together, and doing the work that friendships require.

Our children see that. They see us work together, disagree, figure things out, support each other, and keep going.

We’re friends. We’re family. And we think that makes our team pretty special. 💛

Meet Joanna! ⚡️

She’s got skillzzzzz!

Joanna is crafty, creative, and super talented! Did you know she’s a seamstress?! She has an eye for fabric, patterns, and all the little details. And if you know Joanna, you know she LOVES color! 🌻 Bright dresses, fun patterns, sunshine—she brings color and flavor wherever she goes. She’s witty, confident, and very funny! She will make you laugh!

She loves to read, loves history and presidents, loves time with her family, and genuinely cares about people and the world around her. She’s informed, engaged, and pays attention to what’s happening and why it matters.

At CASCO, Joanna works with our older learners and leads Language Workshops and book clubs, but she can jump into math, work with a younger learner, take on a project, or be wherever we need her. And this year, she’ll be everywhere! She’s also becoming CASCO’s unofficial mayor, helping us connect with our neighborhood and the community around us. It fits her perfectly!

She loves children, loves this work, and we love having all of her interests and talents at CASCO.

And we can’t forget Harry Potter! If you ever want to talk Harry Potter, come on down to CASCO. We have a whole fan club!
