A tradition continues on The Hill!

The St. Louis Soap Box Derby recently celebrated another exciting year of gravity racing on Macklind Avenue, where young racers showcased teamwork, STEM skills, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to all of this year's participants, especially St. Ambrose student Calvin Braden, who captured the 2026 Stock Division Championship and will represent The Hill and St. Louis at the All-American Soap Box Derby World Championships in Akron, Ohio this July! 🎉

Thank you to the St. Louis Jaycees, volunteers, sponsors, and the Sullivan family for helping make this cherished Hill tradition possible.

🎬✨ What a fun evening at the VIP event for Love on The Hill at Milo’s!

We enjoyed meeting movie stars, Jake Lockett and Dana DeLorenzo, connecting with fellow fans and getting a behind-the-scenes look at filming in our neighborhood. It was exciting to see Love on The Hill come to life and showcase the charm, culture and community that make The Hill so special.

The upcoming movie Love on The Hill is filming in our neighborhood, and you have a chance to be part of the excitement!
Join the cast and crew for "Be in a Movie Night" at the Gateway Grizzlies on June 9.

Interested in being an extra? Filming dates are June 15 and June 26.

And if you see cameras around the neighborhood throughout June, be sure to give a warm Hill welcome to the cast and crew!

Did you know the original St. Ambrose School building stood at the corner of Wilson and Hereford for nearly 34 years before being torn down in 1950 to create additional playground space for students?
