Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition For Every Child... A Place to Call Home. Resources: Foster and adoptive parenting is a rewarding—but demanding—job.

At our agency we do two things:
Recruitment: We are one of the area’s largest recruiter of foster/adoptive homes because of our partnerships with the local media, including KSDK and 13 local newspapers. We offer many supports to parents, including support groups, training, advocacy, newsletters, two resale shops, crisis intervention services, and our Little Wishes program.

A huge thank you to the National Black MBA-St. Louis Chapter for collecting backpacks for our Back-to-School Bonanza and supporting our mission with a shopping trip to Refresh!

From helping students impacted by foster care start the school year prepared to shopping with purpose, this group showed up in more ways than one.

This Kinship Awareness Month, we’re honoring the relatives, loved ones and trusted adults who step up, often with little notice, to keep children connected to the people, history and community they know.

Throughout the month, we’ll share stories and perspectives that highlight the impact of kinship care and the work of our Families United, Family Connections and 30 Days to Family® programs.

We’re kicking things off with members of our Families United team, who are answering important questions about what kinship care really looks like, the challenges caregivers face, the incredible strengths they bring and why supporting these families matters.

Because when family can safely remain family, children have a stronger foundation for healing, connection and their future. 💚

Hello Coalition family! My name is Delores Lampkin, and I am excited to join the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition team. I recently received my BSW from the University of Missouri St. Louis and I’m currently pursuing my MSW at Missouri Baptist. I look forward to contributing to you all’s mission of supporting youth and families. So happy to be a part of the team!

Hello Coalitioners, my name is Malissa Beecham, and I am truly excited to join the Coalition as the Director of Educational Advocacy. For the past 18 years, I have devoted my career to championing children's success in various roles in education.
