NSC is a capacity building nonprofit organization in Missouri supporting other nonprofits through educational, operational, and consultative support.

The mission of the Network for Strong Communities (NSC) is to strengthen and increase the capacity of the nonprofit sector to better serve its constituents and build better communities through collaborative vision and action. We accomplish this by providing education, training, consultation and technical assistance programs that are responsive, comprehensive, integrated, efficient and effective. NSC is committed to identifying and offering the highest quality programs and services to support the needs of community leadership, nonprofits and the sector as a whole.

Earlier this month, we also celebrated the 7 year work anniversary to Lane Black, our incredible Director of Administrative Services!

Lane enjoys spending her time outdoors, whether she’s hiking with her boys, relaxing at a campsite, or figuring out how to use the family telescope. ⛺🔭 When she’s not outside, you’ll likely find her playing board games or cleaning something around the house.

If Lane’s life had a theme song, she says it would probably be something chaotic, which feels fitting for someone who’s always juggling a little bit of everything! And when it comes to things she’ll never turn down, fried croissants are at the top of the list. 🥐

We’re so grateful for seven years of Lane’s creativity, problem solving, and dedication. Thank you for all you do, Lane!

Nikki Hanna, our Program Manager for the Southwest Region, recently celebrated her 4-year anniversary with NSC!

Nikki is always up for a new experience, whether she’s discovering a new restaurant, exploring a new area with her family, or planning her next big adventure. Her ideal day off includes coffee and thrifting, and she’s currently embracing one of her favorite seasons by decorating for Halloween and searching for new decorations. 🎃

If Nikki could bring back one fashion trend, it would be gaucho pants because, as she says, it’s comfort and style all in one! Her travel bucket list also includes a trip to Greece, and when it’s time for karaoke, you can bet she’ll be singing “Neon Moon.” 🎤

We’re so grateful for four years of Nikki’s energy, creativity, and dedication to NSC. Thank you for all you do, Nikki!

Happy 2 year work anniversary to Madi Stanley, one of our fantastic Administrative Services Coordinators! 🤩

Madi enjoys working with clients and helping them reach their goals and grow their organizations. Over the past two years, she’s learned that supporting nonprofits is never one size fits all. Working with organizations that have unique needs has taught her the importance of staying curious, adapting her approach, and finding solutions that work best for each client.

She also appreciates the welcoming and positive NSC team, where everyone is willing to jump in and support one another. We’re grateful for the flexibility, thoughtfulness, and dedication Madi brings to her work each day.
