Monarch Firefighters Community Outreach

Monarch Firefighters Community Outreach Firefighters & Paramedics of the Monarch Fire Protection District.

The Monarch Firefighters Community Outreach is a service organization created by firefighters and paramedics to help people while off duty. Our volunteer activities are inspired by a mission to help residents and their families who have suffered injury, illness, or disability. Our off duty commitment as firefighter/paramedics of the Monarch Fire Protection District are aimed at helping a variety

of charitable enterprises that provide special programs, aid in research and fund numerous activities to help those in need. We recognize the difficulties that come as a result of any number of tragedies that happen every day in our community and focus on trying to do whatever we can to enrich the lives of the citizens. The work we do off duty is motivated by our long-standing commitment to community service, volunteerism and charitable fund-raising. We are very proud to have devoted this time and effort over many years and are committed to carry these efforts into the future. Connecting with the citizens of the Monarch Fire Protection District outside of the typical high-stress emergency response is not only rewarding but also vital in creating the type of relationships that we feel make our community so great. In recent years we have provided volunteer efforts to support numerous organizations through fund-raising, personal financial donations, disaster recovery and other charitable support to children, adults, senior citizens.

Be weather aware tomorrow. Make sure you have a way to be alerted if severe weather is headed your way. Have a plan and know where to go if you are at home, work, etc.

The threat for significant severe weather continues for Monday afternoon and evening across the entire forecast area including very large hail, strong tornadoes, and damaging winds. However, ongoing thunderstorms Monday morning will impact where the worst of the afternoon/evening severe weather occurs. During the morning thunderstorms are expected largely north of I-70 and a few could produce US Quarter-sized hail and localized flooding. Make sure to have multiple ways to receive severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings on Monday!

House 5 got an unexpected visit from Firehouse Shirt Club! Monarch was the 7th of 15 random firehouses they stopped at to make donations, on their way to FDIC, and we were lucky enough to be one of them. We’re incredibly grateful to be included in such a meaningful surprise!

Thank you, Firehouse Shirt Club, for your support!
