Kim Gerlt joined regional partners Amy Kauffman of MOKAN Partnership, Jonas Arjes of Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and Jennifer Presberry of Co-Mo Connect for a consultant mission to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Toledo last week.

The group connected with leaders in site selection to promote Missouri’s business strengths and the opportunities available to companies considering their next investment.

Congratulations to General Motors on reaching this incredible production milestone at its Wentzville, Missouri Assembly Center. 👏

For decades, GM has been a major part of Missouri’s manufacturing story, and 7 million vehicles is a testament to the skilled workforce, strong supplier network, and manufacturing capabilities that continue to drive the state’s automotive industry forward.

Here’s to the next 7 million. Congratulations, GM!

Every vehicle starts somewhere before it ends up in someone's driveway. For 7 million of them, that somewhere was Wentzville, Missouri. Today, the plant built number 7 million: a black Chevrolet Colorado, surrounded by the team that made it happen. To everyone who has worked that line over the last 43 years: thank you for building what keeps the rest of us moving.

Today, King Technology opened its new centralized manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution center in St. Peters, Missouri.

The leading innovator in hot tub, swim spa, and pool water care and sanitization systems is investing at least $17 million in the facility, which is expected to ultimately employ 40 workers over the next three years.

King Technology worked alongside Missouri state and local partners to determine and invest in its second location, including Ameren Corporation, the City of St. Peters, the Economic Development Council of St. Charles County, Greater St. Louis, Inc., Missouri Department of Economic Development, Missouri Partnership, and Spire.

King Technology is investing at least $17 million in the facility, which is expected to ultimately employ 40 workers in the next three years.
