It was a great day celebrating Nebius (Nasdaq: NBIS) as the AI cloud company broke ground on its flagship AI factory campus in Independence — the company’s first gigawatt-scale digital infrastructure project in the U.S.

City leaders and local stakeholders helped launch construction of a multi-building campus that supports 1,000+ jobs, sizable tax revenues, and area education programs.

“Projects like this are built for the long term, and we are committed to developing this facility in a way that directly benefits Independence,” said John Boynton, Nebius Board Chairman. “We want to create lasting opportunities, act as a good partner with the community, and set a standard for developing AI and digital infrastructure responsibly.”

Missouri is proud to welcome Nebius and looks forward to supporting the company’s long-term growth as it helps shape the future of AI infrastructure in America.

Congratulations to our partners who helped bring Nebius to Independence.

State and local leaders, economic development partners, community members, and company representatives gathered to mark the start of construction on the multi-building AI factory.

“This project highlights the extraordinary pace of growth in the AI industry – and why Missouri is the right place for that growth,” said Subash Alias, CEO of Missouri Partnership. “With our central location, robust infrastructure, and ability to deliver power at scale, Missouri offers a compelling environment for next-generation technology investment, and Nebius’ decision reinforces our strength as a global competitor.”

Big news for St. Joseph!

Clarios is expanding its footprint in the community by investing $400 million and creating up to 123 new jobs.

This expansion strengthens the region’s leadership in advanced manufacturing and reinforces Missouri’s position in the future of mobility.

Congratulations to our partners in St. Joseph, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, and the Clarios team.

The St. Joseph Economic Development Partnership and St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce a major investment by Clarios in our community. Clarios is advancing a $6 billion investment plan in the U.S. and $400 million of that will be in St. Joseph. This will add up to 123 jobs.

The expansion will play a large role in meeting a projected increase in North American battery demand. If you weren't aware, Clarios powers nearly every type of vehicle and its batteries are found in 1 of 3 cars on the road today.

Congrats to Clarios and all of the partners who helped bring this investment to St. Joseph instead of other locations in the U.S. To read more, see our website: https://choosesaintjoseph.com/clarios-selects-st-joseph-as-part-of-its-6-billion-investment-plan/
