What if the warning signs of child exploitation were there, but no one knew what to look for?

A sudden change in behavior, a secretive online relationship, or withdrawal from family and friends can sometimes signal that a child is being groomed or exploited. Recognizing those signs is an important first step toward protecting a child.

That's why our Child Anti-Exploitation Partnership (CAP) program works alongside advocates, law enforcement, schools and families to help identify at-risk children and connect them with the protection and support they need providing advanced training for frontline professionals.

CAP also provides advocacy, mentoring and practical assistance for children who have experienced exploitation, helping them and their families navigate the difficult road toward healing and stability.

By strengthening the connections between those who protect children and those who care for them, CAP is helping communities become better equipped to recognize the signs and respond.

Did you know children under age 5 are especially vulnerable to severe acute malnutrition, a life-threatening condition that claims far too many young lives. 💔

In East Africa, Crisis Aid is fighting to save these children through pediatric hospitals, therapeutic feeding programs and ongoing nutritional care that helps severely malnourished children recover and regain their strength.

With early intervention and proper treatment, many of these heartbreaking deaths can be prevented. We believe every child should have the chance to grow up healthy and thrive.

For a mother rebuilding her life after trafficking, having someone she trusts care for her children can make all the difference.

At our Girls Village in East Africa, childcare is provided at no cost, allowing young mothers to focus on healing, learning new skills and preparing for a more independent future.

While their little ones are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment, these women can participate in vocational training, apprenticeships, education, Bible studies and other activities.

We know when we invest in a mother's future, we're also investing in her child's.

There's a difference between learning a skill and discovering your potential.

At our Mercy Chapel in East Africa, young women who have survived trafficking and exploitation are doing both.

Through hands-on vocational training in skills such as hairdressing and tailoring, they're preparing for something many once thought was beyond their reach: the opportunity to earn a living and support themselves.

And now, some are taking an exciting next step, moving from the classroom into apprenticeships where they can put their training to work in real businesses.

It's an important milestone in their journey toward independence — one that reflects not only what they've learned but how far they've come.
