As an important nationwide anniversary nears, Girl Scouts from throughout our council have been very busy with patriotic activities, including community service and last weekend's observations of Flag Day!🌟

In Branson, Girl Scouts from Troops 70442, 71681, and 71762 sang 'You're a Grand Old Flag' to parade viewers and were greeted by cheers, waves, and many singing along as they traveled the route of the city's special Flag Day Parade. ❤️

In Lebanon, Girl Scouts from Troop 70699 joined the Elks Lodge for a Flag Day Ceremony and heard from a retired combat veteran, who spoke about the inspirational importance of the flag. 🤍

In West Plains, Girl Scouts from Troop 10050 recently worked together to decorate the West Plains Senior Center for the Fourth of July! 💙

We are excited to announce Camp Connect, a FREE, welcoming summer program where girls K-5 build confidence, make friends, try new activities, and discover what Girl Scouts is all about! 💚

Cape Girardeau Service Unit 771 Day Camp 2026 in early June was a red, white, and blue success! ❤️🤍💙

Dedicated volunteers led Girl Scouts through a week of beautiful weather, filled with camp songs, fishing and canoeing, firebuilding and cooking, teambuilding, crafts and games, learning flag care, and much more! 💚

This week, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland were among recipients of donated fishing equipment from Bass Pro Shops for their annual rod and reel donation "Gone Fishing" event! 🎣

Girl Scouts from two Springfield troops also tried their hand at catch-and-release, with much success. 💚
