2026 Founders Fund Scholarship Recipient: Lauren Audrey Odom ❤️🖤
Lauren Odom, senior at Kickapoo High School and daughter of Al and Sarah Odom, has built an extraordinary high school career defined by service, leadership, and heart. With more than 400 service hours and a Gold Medal Service Award, she has consistently shown up for her community through work with organizations like Ronald McDonald House, Harmony House, Isabels House, Ozarks Honor Flight, Relay for Life, Shriners Hospital, and Building Bridges Hand in Hand, and many more - a list too long to be contained in a simple social media post.
At school, Lauren has been a driving force as Service Commissioner on Student Council Executive Cabinet, leading impactful blood drives, organizing service projects, and helping create inclusive events for students with special needs. She’s also deeply involved in multiple organizations, from HOSA and DECA to National Honor Society and Peer Mediators, while balancing athletics, dual credit coursework, and multiple jobs in healthcare and service roles.
Her dedication has also earned her the Missouri Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and recognition as a Missouri A+ Scholar. Through every role she’s taken on, Lauren has shown a rare combination of discipline, empathy, and leadership.
The Founders Fund Scholarship was created to recognize young women who embody the values of the Junior League; women who are committed to improving their communities through effective action and leadership. Lauren exemplifies these values in every sense. She is not only a reflection of what this scholarship stands for today, but also a promise of the impact it will continue to have through her in the future.
