We're opening new doors and creating more opportunities for families in our community to find stability and hope!

Join us on Tuesday, October 27, as we celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of The Kitchen, Inc.'s second Emergency Shelter!

🏠 Ribbon Cutting: 11:00 AM
💙 Facility Tours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

This expansion marks an exciting milestone in our mission to bring stability and purpose to people experiencing homelessness. With 12 additional apartment-style shelter units, we'll be able to provide even more families with a safe place to stay as they work toward permanent housing.

We can't wait to celebrate this special day with the community that helps make our work possible. We hope to see you there! 💙

We’re so proud to see our friend, former board member, and incredible community partner, Stephanie Ireland, featured in Springfield City Lifestyle’s “Architects of Style”! ✨

Stephanie’s impact on The Kitchen, Inc. goes far beyond a blueprint. As the architect behind our Emergency Shelter and Support Services Building, she helped create spaces designed with dignity, safety, and stability at the forefront.

She is a fantastic steward of our mission and a true partner in helping us build a community where everyone has a place to call home. We’re grateful for the vision, care, and heart she has brought to our work.

Congratulations, Stephanie! We’re lucky to have you in our corner. ❤️

Style is not limited to what we wear. It shapes the spaces we inhabit, the places we explore, the objects we preserve and even the way we see ourselves. Across the Springfield area, creative professionals are using observation, experience and careful listening to help people live with greater beauty...

Today, we were reminded of the power of our community working together. ❤️

A group of young men from the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch STAR Program organized a donation drive to give back to Rare Breed and support other youth their age.

Their generosity is a beautiful reminder that you don’t have to have a lot to make a difference. Sometimes, simply seeing a need and choosing to help is enough to create a ripple effect of kindness.

We are so grateful for these young men and their commitment to helping their community. Thank you for reminding us that we’re stronger when we look out for one another.
