I Pour Life

I Pour Life is a nonprofit whose mission is to assist youth (16-24) through LifeStrengths and our Social Capital Club positive youth development programs.

I Pour Life’s vision is to ensure every at-risk or foster care youth experiences positive growth and development through the introduction of life skills necessary to successfully transition into adulthood. We believe that if we “teach with our life,” anyone can thrive. As an organization, board, and staff, we believe in the foundation and gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus did life with all

people, regardless of their religious beliefs, social involvement, or political views. We believe that by following Christ’s example of having unconditional love and hope for individuals, we will create a relationship of trust and vulnerability allowing those we serve to experience real growth and development through our LifeStrengths one-on-one coaching method. We believe that our life and our work serve as an example and, as an example, our interactions and love for all people will be blessed and multiplied.

At I Pour Life, we are incredibly grateful for team members who go above and beyond to support the youth we serve, and John is a wonderful example of that commitment.

Recently, we received a message from a foster parent in Southeast Missouri who wanted to make sure John received the recognition he deserves. They shared how John has been instrumental in helping a youth navigate adulthood by providing accountability, guidance, encouragement, and valuable resources along the way. They described him as warm, kind, and exceptional at his job, noting that his support has been exactly what their youth needed to continue growing and succeeding.

This week, we’re excited to introduce Gracelin Hathaway, one of our LifeStrengths Managers at I Pour Life. Gracelin is known for her empathy, encouragement, organizational skills, and strategic approach to supporting both youth and staff.

With a heart for helping young people reach their full potential, Gracelin is passionate about creating environments where youth feel supported, empowered, and equipped to pursue their goals. Her ability to see the bigger picture while never losing sight of the individual needs of each young person makes her an invaluable part of our team.

When asked why she works at I Pour Life, Gracelin shared:

"I work at I Pour Life because I Pour Life has a lasting impact on the lives of youth and young adults. The youth who come through our program are working every day to break cycles and build healthier futures for themselves. A huge thank you to the team at Springfield-Branson National Airport for giving our youth an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of the airport!
Our group had the opportunity to learn about the many moving parts that keep the airport running smoothly each day, from operations and security to customer service and aviation careers. It was an eye-opening experience that showcased the teamwork, innovation, and dedication required to connect people and communities.

✈️ It is Missouri's third-largest airport.

For the past eight years, Jeff has dedicated himself to supporting youth as they navigate life's challenges and opportunities. Known for his steady leadership and genuine care for others, he believes that meaningful relationships and positive influences can change the trajectory of a young person's life.

When asked why he works at I Pour Life, Jeff shared:

"I really enjoy seeing youth find who they are in life. Helping them find their purpose and then seeing it still play out years later is what keeps me going. Also, connecting them to people who are a positive light that will push them to be the best version of themselves. That is what has kept me around here for the past eight years."

This week, we’re excited to introduce Cat Leonard, our Chafee Manager at I Pour Life who brings deep experience, unwavering advocacy, and a true passion for supporting youth in foster care.

With more than 10 years of experience working within the Chafee program, Cat has dedicated much of her career to walking alongside older youth as they navigate independence and adulthood. Known for her compassionate leadership and commitment to advocating for young people, she brings both wisdom and heart to the work she does every day.

When asked why she works at I Pour Life, Cat shared:
“I Pour Life recently took over the Chafee contract which I have worked under for the last 10 years. I was excited to learn of their innovative approaches to helping older youth! During that time, I had a life-altering medical emergency and IPL leadership were understanding and patient as I healed, which is a testament to their integrity and caring nature. I am grateful to work for such a loving and dynamic organization!”
