We would like to congratulate members of the ICC Community on their achievements this past weekend at the Illinois Community College Trustee's Association's (ICCTA) annual Awards banquet. ICC President Emeritus, Dr. Sheila Quirk-Bailey, was awarded a Certificate of Merit, given to persons (usually former trustees or presidents) who have made a significant contribution to ICCTA, the Illinois system, or an individual member college. Our 2025 Alumnus of the Last Decade, Dr. Jazmine Stubblefield, was awarded the Pacesetter Award, recognizing the accomplishments of recent IL Community College graduates.

In addition, Taprice Bell was a nominee for the Lifelong Learner award, and Jessica Deininger was a finalist for the Paul Simon Essay Scholarship. It was a great weekend celebrating the great work community colleges across the state do to advocate for students.
