Celebrate Earth Day, every day, by volunteering at one of our sanctuaries, or one of your local Friends of Illinois Nature Preserves. It is a fun way to make a tangible difference for the environment. Today they are working at Birdsong Chapter-Stewards of Amboy Marsh/Gremel. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Springfield Audubon Society, Stewards of Adams Wildlife Sanctuary and Bremer Sanctuary, Hickory Hills Chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society, and Saturdays at Shawnee Audubon Chapter's Warbluff Sanctuary. We have a few last minute openings on upcoming field trips, including: Adventure Birding by Bike on the Rock Island Trail, Peoria, (5.28.26), Adventure Birding by Bike at Orland Grasslands (6.4.26), Okàn Savanna Birding Adventure (6.13.26), and Shorebirding Mid-Week Adventure (8.20-21.26).
