Our 3rd-8th grades offer departmentalized education where each teacher teaches in their own area of expertise. Each year we update aspects of our curriculum and encourage cooperative, student-oriented discovery and inquiry based learning. SJCA provides an atmosphere for creative and innovative thinking to equip students to compete in a global society. We participate in academic competitions and have received many awards at the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Mathcounts, and Springfield Catholic School Math Tournaments. We have won numerous science awards in the Ozarks Science and Engineering Fair and each year we walk away with many, many awards from the Language Arts Department of Southwest Missouri Fair. Our students consistently score above the national average on standardized tests. Our building is filled with over 100 of God’s precious children. Joseph parish generously supports our students financially and in prayer. The neighboring parish of Sacred Heart also supports us monetarily and with the gift of their wonderful parish children.
