We have been entrusted with a very special calling. Our marriage. Our kids. Our family. Our schools. Our workplaces. These people are sacred and special. They matter. Will we build into their lives or waste our time and energy on things that don’t last? 1 Corinthians 3.12-13 - “If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.”
We are building lives of impact. We are building a church of impact together. Jesus’ kingdom is all that matters for all of eternity. Jesus, help us to build with materials that will last. Gold, silver and costly stones are love, compassion, mercy and investment in people. We are not self-absorbed. We are self-sacrificial. I am praying we become people who build into other’s lives. Build into our city. We are called to be builders. I pray your heart is reminded and encouraged today.
