Youth Thank You Note:

Below is a note from a young lady who recently received help from Safety Net. We had previously helped her with housing, but she did come up with a big portion of it on her own and we also provided her with $150 in gas cards ♥️

Safety Net gave me hope and one last chance, and kept me from being homeless. If I had not gotten their help I would not have been able to get a job and live conformably by myself. I really appreciate their help, as I have been setting goals to better my life and get away from some unhealthy lifestyles I have been raised around. I feel safe now, and that work on healing from my childhood trauma.

For just $5 per pass (or more if you'd like to make an even bigger impact), your child gets admission to 13 different family-friendly movies this summer!

Every dollar raised helps Safety Net support foster youth alumni and vulnerable young adults in our community. Purchase one pass, purchase several, or consider making an additional donation to help change lives while enjoying a summer of movies.

💙 What an incredible surprise and blessing! 💙

We had the honor of attending the Compass Club of Spokane luncheon, where they presented Safety Net with checks totaling $5,679 from their yearlong fundraising efforts on behalf of our organization.

Each year, the Compass Club selects a local nonprofit to support throughout their September to June club year. For 2025–2026, they chose Safety Net, and we are so grateful. Through monthly luncheon raffles, special fundraising events, and the generosity of their members and supporters, they worked all year to invest in the lives of the young adults we serve.

From restaurant fundraisers to their Paint It Forward event, every dollar raised represents a community coming together to make a difference.

To the amazing women of the Compass Club of Spokane, thank you for believing in our mission and helping create opportunities, stability, and hope for foster youth alumni and vulnerable young adults in our community. Your support truly makes an impact.

Dear Safety Net and Community,

I want to take a moment to express how truly grateful I am for all the love, support, and kindness that has been shown to me during my pregnancy and while caring for my four-year-old child. This season of my life has come with many challenges and having a community like yours show up for me has meant more than words can explain. Thank you for all the beautiful baby shower gifts that were given to help me prepare for my new baby. Your generosity brought me comfort, relief, and joy during such an important time in my life. I also want to sincerely thank you for the rental assistance that helped keep a roof over my children’s heads. That support gave me stability and peace of mind when I needed it most. Your kindness, encouragement, and willingness to help my family will never be forgotten. Because of Safety Net and this community, I have felt supported, cared for, and hopeful for the future. Thank you again for everything you have done for me and my children.

From one of our youth who recently visited our Post Falls, ID warehouse:

Dear Safety Net,
I just wanted to take a moment to truly thank you for the kindness and support you showed me. Receiving the kitchen table and chairs meant more to me than I can fully put into words. Moving into a new place and trying to rebuild everything from the ground up can feel overwhelming at times, and your help made my house finally start to feel like a home. The table and chairs have already become such an important part of my home. It is the place where I can sit down, eat meals, slow down after long days, and spend meaningful time with my daughters. Something as simple as having a real kitchen table brings a feeling of stability, comfort, and peace that I have been working hard to create in this new chapter of my life. Your generosity helped complete my new place in a way that truly matters. It reminded me that there are still people and organizations willing to help others when they are trying to move forward and better their lives. I do not take that lightly. Thank you again for blessing me and my family with something that will be used and appreciated every single day. Your kindness has made a real difference in our lives.
