Thank you for your generous support during Spokane Public Radio’s fall pledge drive. Listeners from across the Inland Northwest came together to support SPR News, SPR Jazz, and SPR Classical.

There is real power in a community coming together to sustain something it values. Over the course of the drive, we heard from more than 640 generous members who contributed more than $127,000 to sustain our work. We want to thank everyone who helped make it a success.

We are also grateful to the volunteers, guests, hosts, and staff members who brought their time, energy, and enthusiasm to the drive. It truly took a community to make it successful.

Thank you!

We've got a full week ahead, mornings on SPR Classical (91.9) with Jim Tevenan. Monday at 10 will feature a From the Studio interview session with star violinist Simone Porter, in Spokane to play Piotr Tchaikovsky's Concerto in D with the Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra, directed by Kevin Heckmatpanah.

Tuesday brings the north Idaho piano duo of Melody Puller and Matt Goodrich to play in studio and discuss their upcoming American music recital in Sandpoint. We're looking forward to their visit on The Piano Bench, Tuesday at 11 (repeated Sunday at 1).

And, on Thursday at 11 (Sundays at noon), Michael Millham picks up the thread he was spinning during our fundraising week, picking music for guitar he describes as "ravishing and soothing."

Finally, many, many thanks for all who gave so generously during our recently concluded drive. We could not do it without you!

Good news for public radio listeners in the Methow Valley! Spokane Public Radio has installed a new HD Radio transmitter at KPBW, bringing improved access to more of your favorite SPR programming!

With an HD Radio—standard in many newer cars—you can now hear:
• 91.9 FM / HD1: SPR News
• 91.9-HD2: SPR Classical
• 91.9-HD3: SPR Jazz

The new Brewster transmitter is an important step in strengthening service across the region. It will also help pave the way for HD upgrades at our stations in Omak, Twisp, and Oroville.

We’re excited to make more of SPR available to more listeners—and we’re working to bring you all three services as reliably as possible!

Spokane Public Radio’s fall membership drive begins today, and we've set some ambitions goals. Yet, when listeners come together, every contribution adds up to something powerful: an independent public radio service created for and sustained by this community.

The amount you give is entirely up to you. Whether you sign up as a sustaining member or make a one-time gift, you’ll get us closer to our goal. What matters today is participating and showing that Spokane Public Radio is worth supporting.

Public radio matters. You make it possible.
