🍂 The best time to prepare for next summer is this fall.

As we move into cooler weather, now is a great time to look around your property and start reducing wildfire risk before next fire season.

Clearing dead vegetation, creating defensible space, trimming vegetation around structures, and taking a few simple steps this fall can make a difference when hot and dry conditions return.

Fall is here and maybe you're doing some cleaning and organizing. Save your stuff to help support the Foothills!

Donate kitchenware, housewares, furniture, yard supplies, or whatever else could use a new home. Donations will be then sold at our rummage sale, or donated afterwards to a local thrift store. Drop off items at the Community Center Thursday Sept 17th 2-6 and Friday September 18th 2-6. Then come shop on Saturday from 9-3.

All proceeds go to support the Foothills Rural Association.
If you would like to help at any of our events, come join us at our monthly board meetings. 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm, Community Center.

Remembering Carol Stoll, long-time Foothills resident:

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 1st at 11:00am at the Foothills Community Center 11003 N Forker Road. An informal remembrance will begin at 11:00am. Guests are welcome to drop in anytime between 10:30 am and 1:00pm to share a memory or simply spend time honoring Carol.

One to monitor/too close for comfort. Level 3 evacuations are currently in place along the NW side of Newman Lake including to the intersection with Foothills Road.

16300 North Cougar Ln, brush fire reported (Newman Lake) Cougar Fire is reported to be two acres in size. Level 3 evacuations have been reported. See comments for more details.

Applicants must be residents of the Foothills (within the service boundaries Station 96 for FD9).
