Burn ban now in effect for Spokane County.

🔥 In case you hadn't heard...

Washington DNR has implemented a burn ban for all recreational and rule burns in our area.

That means the backyard brush pile and cozy evening fire pit will need to wait. 🔥🚫

The only outdoor burning currently allowed is permitted burns and fires in designated campground fire pits.

With warmer temperatures and dry conditions arriving early, now is the time to help prevent wildfires before they start.

For current burn restrictions and updates, visit: https://www.dnr.wa.gov/burn-restrictions

Please help spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors who may not have seen the announcement.

Posting on behalf of a neighbor: this apparently well-fed kitty has been showing up as a visitor for the past week. Does anyone know where this cute freeloader actually belongs? From the vicinity of Darknell & Hopper.

Posting on behalf of a neighbor: found dog, just south of the Community Center. Does anyone recognize?
