Congratulations to Abigail Williams of Converse University, winner of the 2026 Judy and Brant Bynum Fine Art Award!

The award was announced during Art Walk on May 21st at the Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg. Each year, a rising junior from a Spartanburg County college or university is selected for their artistic talent and awarded a $1,000 scholarship along with a solo exhibition in the Artists’ Guild Gallery during their senior year.

Congratulations as well to first runner-up Madison Page, also of Converse University!

We had "Art on the Plaza" in the courtyard and at the reception for "Carolina Shout," featuring artwork by father-son team Roscoe Conn and Addison Conn.

✨ From 5-8pm, enjoy the "Carolina Shout" Reception and 'Art on the Plaza' at the Chapman Cultural Center.

Walk through the courtyard to browse local artists displaying and selling work outdoors, then head into the Artists Guild Gallery for "Carolina Shout", featuring artwork by Roscoe and Addison Conn.

The Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg seeks to highlight the work of outstanding BIPOC artists in the Southeast through the upcoming Juneteenth juried exhibition, WOVEN.

All mediums welcome. Artists residing in AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN are eligible to apply.

2026 Juror: Winston Wingo

Exhibition dates: June 2–27, 2026
Application deadline: May 22 at 11:55 PM
