All are invited to attend Justice Southbury’s second Community Conversation on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm, in the library at B'nai Israel of Southbury, CT at 444 Main Street North.
Justice Southbury will join Rabbi Eric Polokoff in welcoming all guests. This initiative has been endorsed by Southbury Clergy Association & Woodbury Clericus. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP required, at [email protected].
The guest facilitator will be Joyce Schroeder, MS, a Southbury resident and an organizational culture and leadership consultant. Her workshop is entitled “Three Tools to Build a Community that Works Together.”
Ms. Schroeder’s consulting work was largely in union and management environments. Through her facilitation of the groups and her diagnostic tools, she helped to create the conditions where these groups could come to the table and have constructive conversations.
This workshop features three of her tools, which help participants get in front of potential conflicts. The tools are taught and then processed in small groups activities. Participants leave the workshop with the realization that they have a choice in how they respond and tools to help facilitate this discovery process.
Joyce Schroeder, M.S. has worked with organizations such as The Ardagh Group, Con Edison, GE, Harley-Davidson, Ken’s Foods and Toyota. She has trained as a corporate coach, has a Master’s degree in Organizations and Management and is a Certified Positive Psychology Practitioner.
Justice Southbury is a local non-partisan group whose vision is "a more fair and kind community for all."
