The Foundation was created in memory of Logan to keep his spirit alive. Logan was as fierce a competitor as he was a friend.

The foundation will support organizations that share Logan’s unyielding passions including sports, music and theatre.

Today marks seven years without our littlest love.

Life has changed in so many ways. People have come and gone, everything has shifted, but losing Logan hasn’t gotten any less painful. The space he left in our lives is still there.

The eight years we had with him are a gift I will forever cherish, but his absence is felt in all the moments that matter most. I find myself looking to the skies and the world around me, noticing little reminders of him everywhere he should be. 💚

This year as we honored Logan with 15 acts of kindness to mark what would have been his 15th birthday, members of the Junior Board of his foundation joined in to help.

They came together to purchase and donate food to the Southbury Food Bank, focusing on critical need items and some of Logan’s favorites.

It was nice having them join us to lift others up in Logan’s memory. 💚

Our littlest love would have been 15 today. We often imagine who he would be, what he would love and how he would make the world a brighter place.

Logan’s time here was much too short but the love and joy he brought to each day will stay with us forever.

Logan, we hope you are dancing among the stars. You are missed beyond measure and we will love you forever. 💚

Tonight, the Logan Murphy Mengold Foundation awarded the Logan Murphy Mengold Memorial Scholarship and the Jane White Scholarship to two deserving students from Pomperaug High School. We are in our sixth year of awarding these scholarships and the students continue to impress us.

Logan’s scholarship is awarded to a student who has participated in sports he loved and that demonstrates strong character, good sportsmanship and a passion for competition all qualities Logan exemplified. This year’s recipient is Reese Etters.

Jane White was Logan’s 3rd Grade Teacher who retired in 2019 after 20+ years of teaching in Region 15. We honor Jane with this scholarship as way to thank and recognize her. Jane is an extraordinary teacher who showed tremendous care and compassion to Logan, our family, Logan’s friends and ALL of her students. This scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates kindness, compassion and a desire to help others, all qualities that Jane exemplifies. This year’s recipient is Eva Fellin.

Congratulations to Reese and Eva and the Pomperaug Class of 2025! Your next chapter awaits!

Logan, we carry you with us always - in every breath, every step, and every moment. Your energy, your laughter, and your love of life are greatly missed.

Our hearts are still broken, but we will not let your light dim. Love you always, miss you endlessly. 💚

This weekend we decorated Logan’s trees continuing to honor his love of Christmas. It is a tradition that we have come to embrace, but leaves our hearts heavy.

We are grateful for the ornaments friends and family have added over the years that honor and remember our littlest love. We enjoy the trip down memory lane, but it never gets easier. 💚

Today would have been Logan’s 14th Birthday. This would have been a big year, 8th Grade Graduation and selecting a high school.

It’s been a hard few days wondering what my littlest love would be like and where he would be going in the fall and all that he has missed out on.

However, today I was reminded that life is a blessing and each day a gift. It was a great reminder for me to be in the moment and find joy in the memories.

We will miss Logan forever, in big ways and in small ways and always a little extra on this day.

Logan, we hope you are celebrating big today and watching over all your friends as they start this next chapter. You are loved beyond measure. 💚

Tonight, the Foundation awarded the Logan Murphy Mengold Memorial Scholarship and the Jane White Scholarship to two deserving young students from Pomperaug High School. We are in our fifth year of awarding these scholarships and the students continue to impress and inspire us.

Logan’s scholarship is awarded to a student who has participated in sports he loved and who demonstrates strong character, good sportsmanship and a passion for competition, all qualities Logan exemplified. This year’s recipient is Riley O’Brien.

Jane White was Logan’s 3rd Grade Teacher who retired in 2019 after 23 years of teaching in Region 15. Jane is an extraordinary teacher who showed tremendous care and compassion to Logan, our family, Logan’s friends and ALL of her students. This scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates kindness, compassion and a desire to help others, all qualities that Jane exemplifies. This year’s recipient is Alexa Cloutier.

Riley and Alexa are remarkable students and we wish them and the Pomperaug Class of 2024 the best of luck and congratulations on their upcoming graduation!

Today marks 5 years without Logan. He is missed and loved beyond measure.

This weekend was about remembering and honoring Logan.

We decorated Logan’s Christmas trees on Saturday and we thought about how much he loved all things Christmas and decorating. We are grateful for the many ornaments added over the years and we thought of all of you as we placed them on the trees. It’s always a bittersweet day, but we know our littlest love was smiling down.

Today, the Junior Board of Advisors met and assembled over 40 bags of sugar cookie mix, frosting, cookie cutters and sprinkles for the Southbury Food Bank for our final donation of 2023. Decorating Christmas cookies with friends was a tradition that Logan loved and our hope is that we can share that tradition with others and add some joy to the holiday season.💚
