Period poverty mostly occurs because of having a low income. If you're only earning enough money to choose between food and heating, then period products quickly slip down the list of priorities.

The Period Packs will be distributed to schools in Southbury and Waterbury to begin with. As our project grows and donations increase, more towns can be added!

Do you have a group who may want to get involved? Send us a message and we can coordinate!

What is a packing party? The first one I will schedule once we have donations to make the packs. :)

A Packing Party can be as simple as assembling a group of friends for coffee and donuts, gathering friends for beers at a local brewery or motivating your congregation to unite and compose Period Packs one day a month. This is also a great way for Girl Scluts to help and earn service hours!

What is a period pack?

We distribute individually wrapped menstrual hygiene products to schools to encompass one menstrual cycle per recipient. We also include period education cards in partnership with the Period Education Project. We pack a variety of pads and styles when available.

School packs contain 10 pads and 5 liners in a zip lock bag. Schools will also be given a selection of new underwear for those who may need it.

All product is donated and kits put together at a packing party for distribution.
