Puck is an adorable 10-month-old kitten. He’s currently a solo cat but has previously lived with another cat.

Puck is an easygoing boy who enjoys head pets and watching the world go by from the window. He is also quiet and polite to a fault-- he once accidentally locked himself in the bathroom and didn’t make a sound to let anyone know!

Two sets of eyes are watching… and hoping you might be their person. 🌳👀 🐈‍⬛

Almost 10 years ago, Chazzy and Ollie were trapped outside with their two sisters. At about six months old, they were already struggling to compete with younger, more socialized kittens. The amazing woman who rescued them adopted all four and gave them a loving home for nearly a decade.

Sadly, the brothers recently lost their lifelong person. Now Chazzy and Ollie need another patient, compassionate person willing to give two shy senior cats a chance.

Chazzy and Ollie offer soft purrs, slow blinks, and the occasional glimpse of the sweet cats underneath their shyness. They’re also excellent with their litter box.

They require a prescription urinary diet, but otherwise their needs are simple: a quiet home, patience, and someone who understands that trust takes time.

If you have room in your heart for two quiet, soulful brothers, Chazzy and Ollie are waiting. ❤️

🌈 We’re heartbroken to share that Cindy Lou has passed away. 🌈

We knew Cindy Lou had cancer and that her time was limited, but it was easy to forget. She was an energetic and happy, and she lived every day in the present like any other kitty.

Last week, her fosters noticed she was slowing down and having trouble jumping onto the bed. At the vet, we learned that her cancer had spread to her lungs and was making it difficult for her to breathe.

Her fosters were by her side when we made the difficult decision to let her go.

We weren’t able to find Cindy Lou a forever home, but she was so loved in every foster home she had.

Rest in peace, Cindy Lou. You were loved. ❤️

Oppie is a sweet 2-year-old boy whose preferred sleeping arrangement is being the little spoon.

He has food sensitivities that are easily managed with a prescription diet, and otherwise he’s focused on the important things: snuggling, being adorable, and following you around like a shadow.

🌱 Jade & kitten update! 🌱

First things first: the kittens have names!

🌿 Aspen — pointed kitten
🌿 Cedar — black kitten
🌿 Olive — black stripey kitten
🌿 Maple — black stripey kitten

These rambunctious little sprouts are growing fast. They’ve started sampling Mom’s wet and dry food and are learning to use the litter box.... though they are still learning the difference between a litter box and the floor. 🫣

Each kitten will need two distemper vaccines and a rabies vaccine before they’re ready for adoption.

This weekend, if you can spare $5, you’ll be helping these little sprouts grow into great, mighty cats. 🌳🖤

At Black Cat Rescue, we’re here for the undercat.

Cats like Monet, who came to us after being found outside: anemic, feverish, and battling an upper respiratory infection. These days you’d hardly know it. This sleek, handsome boy is social, playful, and always ready for a cuddle.

We think every cat deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and healthy enough to show us who they really are,

**Adoptable in Massachusetts**

This is Cindy Lou’s patient face. She is incredibly zen. We, on the other hand, are getting impatient for her to find her person.

Cindy Lou has been with us for a year. At first, people hesitated because she’s a senior. Then, when we discovered she had cancer, she became a hospice cat. But Cindy Lou had other plans. She stayed active, curious, and full of life, far exceeding everyone’s expectations…and eventually, she was returned.

Sometimes, it’s hard to win. 🤷‍♀️

But Cindy Lou has something to teach us: how to live in the present. She’s friendly, attentive, and low-key. She is the kind of cat who will be beside you, making an ordinary day feel a little better.

If you’re looking for a best friend for today, and for every day she has left, Cindy Lou is your girl. ❤️
