People across the U.S. are being taken by ICE even when they are following the law.

LGBT+ asylum seekers with no criminal record are being detained at routine appointments. Married same-sex couples are being separated without warning. Families are being torn apart for doing exactly what the system asks of them.
This is not about public safety.

This is not about “dangerous criminals.”
It is about enforcement practices that punish compliance and put lives at risk.

Happy Pride Boston 🌈. We are LGBTQ+ migrants and we are here to stay. We celebrate our pride, our joy, and our freedom regardless of the circumstances around us. As a grassroots community organization, we have been under attack; we chose not to march in protest against the elected officials of Massachusetts who failing to recognize the severity of attacks against the LGBTQ+ and migrant communities within the commonwealth. But we are proud of our work and will continue to fight against the hatred, bigotry, and violence targeted against us. Boston strong should mean that all LGBTQ+ and migrant lives matter. We urge our elected officials in Massachusetts to stand up against the threats and targeted harassment of LGBTQ+ community organizers and our organizations. Massachusetts can do better, and what happens here affects wider America and the world. Happy Pride everyone. 🙏🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈❤️

I come from a world where my existence is not possible. I've fought a million battles to live my honest, truthful, and authentic self as an openly q***r Pakistani. I'm proud of Boston and Massachusetts for giving me the chance to be my free, authentic self. However, I'm worried about our future as a rise in targeted LGBTQ+ harassment and discrimination is affecting many of us, our organizations, and communities.

Pride was a protest of resistance against institutional oppression and discrimination, a protest to liberate a community that has long been historically oppressed, repressed, and violently erased. Today, not only did I give visibility, representation, and voice to LGBTQ+ migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees as a representative of OUTNewcomers, but I also voiced the concerns of millions around Boston, Massachusetts, and the world who are worried about our futures.

Thank you, Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu, for being there for us. The LGBTQ+ community continues to support you and your bravery, concern, and support for Pride against all hatred, pushbacks, and negativity. Truth shall prevail; justice and liberation for marginalized people are not things we are to bargain and negotiate. We are here, we are q***r. Happy Pride everyone! 🙏🏽🏳️‍🌈❤️‍🩹🥰❤️🥺🏳️‍⚧️🫂

Grateful to for delivering the much needed t-shirts, tote bags and caps they printed for us in due time. All merch bought would be utilized in our community care funds.

OUTnewcomers is dedicated towards advocacy, care and liberation for all LGBTQ+ at risk migrants, asylum seekers/ asylees and refugees who have left their country of origin because of the violence, persecution and discrimination they've suffered simply for existing as their authentic and true self. Come through we will be tabling at Club Cafe Boston for fundraising raffle, we will be selling merch (t-shirts & tote bags) for fundraising (bring cash) . We have free resources & flyers to give away too ... come support OUTNewcomers one of the only grassroots community focused LGBTQ migrant justice organization in the Greater Boston area.
