May is . 🏠 For domestic violence survivors, having access to safe, affordable housing can save their lives.

Unfortunately, a lack of housing options across the country means that survivors are often faced with impossible choices between abuse and homelessness.

Federal funding supports housing for survivors, but ongoing delays to this funding put survivors in danger. Take action NOW and tell Congress to address these dangerous funding delays: https://buff.ly/OyFNQiN

Our trainings include foundational and advanced topics such as:

Tell them: Hello, I’m a constituent from [city/state]. I’m calling to urge [Representative or Senator Name] to press the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Justice to publish delayed funding notices for fiscal year 2026 Family Violence Prevention and Services Act and Office on Violence Against Women funding and expedite the release of funding. These ongoing delays are putting programs and survivors at serious risk, jeopardizing staffing, shelter operations, and access to lifesaving support for survivors nationwide. Thank you.”]

🚨 ACTION ALERT! 🚨 Survivors deserve better than federal funding delays. Tell Congress to act NOW: https://buff.ly/29P4w4A

Domestic violence shelters, r**e crisis centers, and other programs have been experiencing federal funding delays. Additional delays will force programs to lay off staff, reduce services, and close their doors, leaving survivors with nowhere to go.

Congress must push for the DOJ and HHS to immediately publish NOFOs and expedite the release of congressionally appropriated funds. Survivors and programs can't wait.

Further delays will force programs to lay off staff, reduce services for survivors, and close their doors, leaving survivors with nowhere to go. Survivors deserve better. Congress must act NOW.”]
