Our Women’s Leadership Program Leading Me cohort will hear from Haley Hunhoff-Samuelson today! Haley is originally from Yankton, South Dakota, and is a graduate of the University of South Dakota (BA in Healthcare Administration) and Sioux Falls Seminary (MA in Christian Leadership). From 2002-2017, Haley served in various leadership roles at the Good Samaritan Society, the largest non-profit senior care provider in the United States. Haley’s work focused on business excellence and expansion, as well as people development. In 2016, Haley became a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and founded Haley Samuelson Coaching LLC, a company committed to helping leaders and teams discover and leverage the unique behaviors and talents that exist within them. Haley’s all-time favorite job is that of wife to Philip and mom to Jack, Caleb, and Julia. They keep her on her toes, and they are her greatest blessings. Together they live on an acreage in rural Renner, South Dakota. Thank you, Haley!

For Native American Day, EmBe’s School Age Care kids welcomed special guest speakers who taught us about Native American culture and traditions! The kids learned about songs, dances, clothing, and ways of life. To wrap up the experience, each student got to build their own tipi!

Last week, nine honorees were selected out of 72 nominations for the 53rd Annual The EMBES: A Tribute to Women Awards at the Canopy on October 1. As the longest-standing award ceremony honoring women in our region, the historic event honored the impact of women, men, and businesses in the Sioux Empire and raised funds to sustain EmBe's programs for women, children, and families in our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible - every judge, sponsor, donor, nominator, nominee, and attendee. We are truly grateful for your support!
