Millions of people across Washington and around the world will participate in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill, practicing what to do when an earthquake strikes.
Today, October 15th at 10:15 a.m., people are encouraged to practice Drop, Cover, and Hold On, the recommended earthquake safety action. Individuals, families, schools, workplaces and organizations can participate wherever they are.
This is also a great jumping-off point for Scout units to practice what it means to "Be Prepared". This makes a great Safety Minute at any meeting as most Washington residents have experienced what it means to live in earthquake country.

What an OUTSTANDING week of sales! The Popcorn sale gauge is soaring even higher! 🚀 Congratulations to these Top 25 Unit and Scouts, keep up the great work! 👏Shout out who have surpassed $10,000 in sales and earned Galactic Legend status and the championship belt presented at the Big Spin Party in March..🌟
There are so many others really doing a great job. Keep it up, there's still plenty of time left in the sale to hit your goal. The Poptoberfest Contest still has 3 weeks to go, so keep aiming high!🚀

We sure enjoy the little unexpected gifts we get in a day. We received this photo of Cub Scouts fishing at Pier 70 last night. Rocky sent it to us and said, "We just live nearby and were out for a walk. Brought back good memories of my time in the Cub Scouts 60 years ago in Wenatchee."
That, is truly is the magic of Scouting. Fond memories from 60 years ago. We couldn't identify this unit, but we know that these Cub Scouts were making a few memories of their own last night. Thanks, Rocky! ⚜❤️
